Wales manager Ryan Giggs has named a youthful and experimental side, with nine changes from November’s friendly defeat in Albania.

The only players to retain their starting places are Danny Ward and Chris Gunter. Rotherham midfielder Will Vaulks makes his debut, while there are first also starts for Ryan Hedges, Lee Evans and George Thomas.

Gareth Bale is left out of the squad completely.

Wales XI: Ward; Gunter, Williams, Dummett, Taylor; Vaulks, Evans; Hedges, Thomas, Woodburn, Roberts.

Trinidad & Tobago XI: Phillip, David, Bateau, Cyrus, Hyland, Plaza, Garcia, Lewis, Hodge, George, Paul.

Tonight Wales play at the Racecourse, the home of Wrexham, for the first time since 2008.

Their visitors, Trinidad & Tobago, are coincidentally managed by an ex-Wrexham player in Dennis Lawrence, who earlier this season rejected the chance to take charge at his former club.

With places still up for grabs ahead of Wales' opening qualifier against Slovakia on Sunday, Ryan Giggs' players will be out to impress in front of an expected full-house.

  4. The calm before the Euro campaignpublished at 18:29 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March 2019

    Wales v Trinidad & Tobago (19:45 GMT)

And, just like that, with the echoes of a dramatic 2018 World Cup still ringing in our ears, Euro 2020 qualifying is almost upon us.

55 countries will, from tomorrow, begin their fight for one of the 20 precious spots at next year's summer tournament - with the added excitement of games being played across the continent.

But first, of course, it's time for some friendlies.
