Strike! Raul Jimenez has been kept quiet so far but he chases a lost cause and gets an early, powerful shot away from wide on the right and Heurelho Gomes has to make a smart save.

This could be Gomes' last 45 minutes in football you know. He intends to retire in the summer.

Watford have got a lot of work to do to get back in this because Wolves will sit in in the second half and they will break at pace. They've got some fantastic athletes in their team.

Wolves have done some money since they were taken over in 2016 - but not sure they've spent any better than the £75,000 they used to sign Matt Doherty in 2010.

Watford should have taken the lead when Andre Gray elected to go with his foot rather than his head. Ruddy was rooted.

Then Wolves, who had been dangerous on the break, took the lead from a set-piece. It's been a game of good intensity and Wolves are ahead at the break.

Wolves last reached the FA Cup final in 1960, when they beat Aston Villa 1-0 in the semi. At West Brom.

Nice local affair for everyone that!

Norman Deeley got the only goal that day.

You have to say that Andre Gray has had a poor first half. He's not holding onto the ball and he's been bullied by Willy Boly really.

And that was another big chance for Gray. Troy Deeney does ever so well and that block by Conor Coady is as good as a goal. It's going in.

Wolves lead - Andre Gray had two great chances for Watford. Game on!

  15. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Watford 0-1 Wolves

What a block! And that's another great chance for Andre Gray!

Troy Deeney nods a ball down into the path of Gray, he lets it come down on the bounce and lashes in a shot which is on target until Conor Coady throws himself at it.

Stops it with his neck and deflects it out for a corner. Superb defending, as Gareth Southgate looks on...

    Watford 0-1 Wolves

Wolves look content now to sit off and let Watford come at them - and then look to exploit the gaps on the break. Watford need a Plan B.

It's only one goal but it's the perfect scenario now for Wolves and Nuno because his team are set up to counter-attack and Watford have to come up with an answer.

Watford had actually gained a measure of control but the warning came with Heurelho Gomes' save from Leander Dendoncker.

Huge celebrations in the Wolves portion of Wembley but Watford will be bitterly disappointed as Abdoulaye Doucoure switched off to allow Matt Doherty that simple far post header.

Now it is Wolves with the wind in their sails.

  19. CLOSE!published at 40 mins

    Watford 0-1 Wolves

Almost a second! Wolves are flying now and that's superb from Diogo Jota, he runs from halfway, backs up the Watford defence, is shown inside by Adrian Mariappa, obliges, and wraps his right foot around the ball but can only bend a shot inches wide from 18 yards.
