It's a well-worked corner from Wolves and Matt Doherty just drifts round the back post and he can't miss.

The cross was bang on the money and this wasn't the luck of the Irish! He just had to keep his eyes on the ball and stay composed. They don't come easier than that.

GOAL - Watford 0-1 Wolvespublished at 36 mins

    Matt Doherty

Wolves lead! My own personal player of the season gets the breakthrough, Matt Doherty heads in from about three yards!

They work a short corner well, it's pinged in from the right by Diogo Jota and the Irishman cannot miss. Huge goal for Wolves...

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 35 mins

    Watford 0-0 Wolves

The game's coming to life now! That's a good save from Heurelho Gomes, alive to the deflection on Leander Dendoncker's piledriver and tipped over the top. Hit from all of 30 yards.

    Watford 0-0 Wolves

Lovely link play from Troy Deeney again. He feeds a man on the overlap but Wolves clear a cross, Watford turning the screw a touch.

  5. CLOSE!published at 32 mins

    Watford 0-0 Wolves

There it is! That's the chance we wanted! Troy Deeney swings over a beautiful cross from the left, it drops perfectly into no-man's land, Andre Gray is onside and seven yards out. HEAD IT MAN! HEAD IT!

But he tries to hook a dinked volley in over John Ruddy and he's too close to goal - over it goes. A massive chance for Watford.

We need a goal really. Or at least a good chance.

That WIll Hughes effort actually put the ball behind him. Shocker.

Troy Deeney then slams a shot way, way, way over the top.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 25 mins

    Watford 0-0 Wolves

Ruben Neves goes into the book, and rightly so. He has to tug back the tricky Roberto Pereyra after a nutmeg down in the corner. Hope he called it!

Free-kick in a good spot. Jose Holebas to wind up that dangerous left foot - he finds Will Hughes who has a total air shot...

    Watford 0-0 Wolves

Wolves are probing, good possession on the edge of the Watford area but the final ball just isn't there at the moment. Watford look to hit them on the counter but the usually accurate Abdoulaye Doucoure strays, firing a pass forwards to precisely nobody.

No shots on target yet, they've been in scarce supply at Wembley this weekend. Our 'in-play' clips team haven't been rushed off their feet.

    Class act!

Absolute peach of a pass down the left from Joao Moutinho frees Jonny, his cross is a good one and Diogo Jota is close to arriving on it but the ball squeezes away from him. Wolves win a free-kick on the right now as the men in off white build up a head of steam.

    Cleared though.

Still a novelty factor for both sets of fans in playing at Wembley - although Wolves have won their last six visits to the place.

Watford and Wolves showing plenty of positive intent early on but nothing in the way of clear cut chances.

Wonderful atmosphere inside Wembley. Both sets of supporters right into this occasion.

All gone a touch scrappy as both sides exchange long, booming balls downfield. Time to get the ball down and play is in short supply.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 10 mins

    Watford 0-0 Wolves

Romain Saiss dives in on Roberto Pereyra, that was clumsy and he's in the book. Ed Sheeran fan Ryan Bennett may be needed after all as Saiss has come off worse, he needs treatment for a blow to the face.

Both sides ticking over at a great pace - Troy Deeney gets in a tussle with Willy Boly and thinks he's won a corner but it's not to be.

Boly then does brilliantly to keep out Andre Gray as he looked to run in behind.

He wasn't far away, I don't think Gomes was getting there. Moutinho's got his hands on his face, he knows how close it was.

Really bright, open start as Wolves are handed a free-kick just outside the area. Very much in Ruben Neves territory...
