    Man City 1-0 West Ham

Anna Moorhouse is once again called into action in West Ham's goal. It's a speculative effort from distance and she indecisively punches it out. The danger takes a while to clear, but eventually they do so.

    Man City 1-0 West Ham

Man City reverting back to their possession game. Every time they have done so, they have invited trouble on themselves.

A bit of sideways movement allows West Ham to pick-pocket the ball back and West Ham break at speed. The attack is only stopped by a foul from Jill Scott. Into the book she goes.

  3. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Man City 1-0 West Ham

That goal for Man City came with their first shot on target. They most certainly have been made to work for it.

Has it now given them renewed impetus? They are flooding forward with a bit more intent now.

You could see that goal coming - Manchester City have come out this half much better, starting higher up the field putting a lot more pressure on West Ham.

The goalkeeper has to do better.

Keira Walsh doesn't score very often - this is only her second goal of the season - but what a game to find the net in.

The bounce, right in front of Anna Moorhouse, has caught the West Ham keeper out, but there's also a little bit of swerve on the strike.

    Keira Walsh

A better chance was wasted just moments before, but Keira Walsh is on target from distance to put Man City ahead.

The ball moves in a way that makes you think it was deflected, but it has a gnarly outswing on it.

Anna Moorhouse is wrong footed in goal for West Ham.

    Man City 0-0 West Ham

Georgia Stanway produces a fine run to the edge of the area, before looking up and moving the ball square.

But Keira Walsh's effort is scuffed and goes wide. Harmless.

    Man City 0-0 West Ham

Oh my, what a wasted chance! There is no use trying to dress it up any other way...

The ball is cut back in the box to Caroline Weir. She has time, there isn't a West Ham defender anywhere near her and she blasts it high and wide.

A touch and some composure was needed there.

  9. 'West Ham's game plan has been perfect'published at 18:36 British Summer Time 4 May 2019

    Man City 0-0 West Ham

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Matt Beard's game plan has been executed perfectly - when they have had the chance they have had a go at City and when they've needed to they've banked up.

Brooke Hendrix and Gill Flaherty have been fantastic, there has been some last ditch tackles but they have also had moments of quality where they have caused problems as well.

Here we go, a big 45 minutes to play out at Wembley.

West Ham, little fancied before today, have looked right up for it and created the better chances.

Can they cause an upset or will Man City's experience of the big occasion prove decisive?

The West Ham fans seem really impressed with their side's efforts so far, while Man City haven't been their usual selves.

A lot of my colleagues here in the press box are surprised at how evenly-poised this match is. After all, the aggregate score from these two side's league meetings this season was 10-2 to Man City.

West Ham have been growing in confidence as the half went on and that's what they'll be saying in the dressing room to keep working hard.

    They've held their own.

  15. Should Ross have put the Hammers ahead?...published at 18:22 British Summer Time 4 May 2019

HT: Man City 0-0 West Ham

    Casey Stoney
Manchester United Women manager on BBC One

The move was fantastic from West Ham - it was a great cross from Erin Simon and it was a good header by Jane Ross but she'll disappointed that she doesn't get better contact on it.

Karen Bardsley doesn't make the save if the connection on header is better.

It remains all square at half-time.

Jane Ross with the best chance so far. Goalkeeper Karen Bardsley is the only reason Man City are not 1-0 down right now.

I've been really impressed with West Ham's effort and endeavour - the way they are working hard to get back into shape.

I'm sure Matt Beard has been working on their fitness.

Just four minutes until the break now.

The game is opening up, but the defensive work rate of both these sides is huge!

West Ham's Kate Longhurst shows what she is willing to put on the line and has the wind taken out of her with a block.
