Based purely on the difference in volume between the respective cheers when the two teams were announced, it's clear there are significantly more West Ham fans inside Wembley than Man City fans.

Geographical proximity will no doubt have played a part in that but, nevertheless, the support for the Hammers is impressively sizeable.

'Irons, Irons, Irons' rings all around.

West Ham have been assembled over a short period and Matt Beard has done a fantastic job of adding to that squad.

But you look at Manchester City's side - they have gone with Karen Bardsley in goal, experience over youth, but what City will do is play through Keira Walsh, the holding midfielder who is key to how they play.

No doubt this is the biggest day in women's domestic football - it's played in the home of football with a brilliant crowd and two good teams.

West Ham have done unbelievable to get here today and I hope they enjoy it and give Manchester City a really good challenge.

Organisers are hopeful that the attendance here today will surpass last year's competition record of 45,423, with the final being held at England's national stadium for the fifth straight year.

After a smattering of rain earlier, Wembley Way was briefly bathed in May sunshine, with swathes of claret and sky blue flags blowing in the cool breeze, but now the clouds have darkened again ahead of kick-off.

We are just 10 minutes away from kick-off now, so time for some team news.

Manchester City boss Nick Cushing had a full-strength squad to pick from and - just as he did for the League Cup final - he has opted for veteran keeper Karen Bardsley in goal, over England youngster Ellie Roebuck.

West Ham United switch six from their much-changed side that beat Bristol City last time out but, compared to their semi-final success at Reading, two come in, as Adriana Leon and Ria Percival replace Leanne Kiernan and Lucienne Reichardt.

The Hammers have been hit by injuries and have managed to name only SIX on the bench. They are a body down on a big, big day.

Man City XI: Bardsley, Stokes, Beattie, Houghton, McManus, Scott, Walsh, Wullaert, Weir, Stanway, Parris.

Subs: Roebuck, Bonner, Bremer, Beckie, Hemp, Campbell, Emslie.

West Ham XI: Moorhouse, Percival, Simon, Hendrix, Flaherty, Lehmann, Ross, Rafferty, Longhurst, Leon, So-Hyun.

Subs: Spencer, Kiernan, Sampson, Visalli, Kmita, Reichardt.

The Hammers are in their first final of the competition, in their maiden season as a professional club, while City are bidding to win the cup for a second time, following their success in 2017.

The London club, who moved up to the Women's Super League from the third tier last summer after a successful licence application, beat Reading on penalties in April's dramatic semi-final.
