There's a fair amount of games in the Championship today with not a lot riding on them.

Sheffield Wednesday COULD still finish in the top six but they're in need of a very unlikely set of results.

The Owls travel to Preston knowing that anything other than a win will end their season today for sure.

Birmingham host Wigan and Nottingham Forest visit QPR in games where only pride is really at stake.

Another reminder that Bolton's game against Brentford has been postponed after Wanderers players said they would not play until they receive the wages they are owed.

  9. Who will win the Championship title?published at 14:53 British Summer Time 27 April 2019

Top of the ChampionshipImage source, BBC Sport

Here's how we stand at the top of the Championship going into today's fixtures.

Norwich City are all but promoted unless they lose their last two games and third-placed Leeds win their final two games with a 10-goal swing in goal difference.

The Canaries can clinch promotion to the Premier League today if they avoid defeat against Blackburn this evening. Even if they lose, though, they will be promoted if Leeds fail to beat Aston Villa tomorrow.

Daniel Farke's side can also clinch the Championship title if they better Sheffield United’s result against already relegated Ipswich Town.

The Blades can be promoted this weekend, but have to wait until Leeds play tomorrow. If Sheffield United better Leeds’ result, they will be promoted.

    Millwall 0-0 Stoke

It has all gone a bit quiet at The Den.

Just a reminder, if the scores stay level, Millwall will be four points ahead of Rotherham who only have two games left to play.

This means if the Millers were to lose against West Brom at 15:00 BST today they'd go down and the Lions will be safe.

  11. Seventh heaven for Swans?published at 14:50 British Summer Time 27 April 2019

    Swansea v Hull (15:00 BST)

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Liberty Stadium

Swansea City will look to make it seven successive Liberty Stadium league wins when they take on Hull City this afternoon.

Their current home run is the best in the Championship - and the club's most impressive since they won 10 in a row back in 2007-08.

Swansea won the League One title under Roberto Martinez in that season.

Another home success today against a Hull side who have lost three straight games would keep alive their slim hopes of another promotion this year.

Lee Johnson: Bristol City head coach on Game of Thrones and play-off race

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson has admitted his attempts to get the club into the Championship play-offs have been all-consuming.

However, there's one thing that takes his mind off his bid to lead the club to the Premier League.

"I've needed Game of Thrones to come back. I've been really excited about it," he told BBC Points West.

"Who'll end up on the Iron Throne? It's got to be Jon Snow hasn't it?"

    Swansea v Hull (15:00 BST)

A run of five wins from their past six games means Swansea still have an outside chance of pinching sixth spot.

Realistically the Swans are going to need to win their remaining three fixtures, including against fellow play-off hopefuls Derby on Wednesday, and hope that the Rams, Bristol City and Middlesbrough slip up.

Graham Potter's side face a Hull City side whose own play-off aspirations were ended by a 3-0 home defeat by Sheffield United on Monday.

The Swans bring in Nathan Dyer, while Hull make three changes to the team beaten 3-0 by Sheffield United on Monday.

  15. Battered Boro still battlingpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 27 April 2019

    Middlesbrough v Reading (15:00 BST)

    MiddlesbroughImage source, Rex Features

Even the most optimistic of Middlesbrough fans probably thought their season would not be extended beyond the end of the regular season after a run of six straight defeats.

Three successive wins put them right back in the hunt before Monday's chastening defeat at Nottingham Forest left them outside the top six once more.

Tony Pulis' side will be without injured defenders Daniel Ayala (knee), Dael Fry (hamstring) and George Friend (thigh) for the rest of the campaign but welcome back Lewis Wing from injury.

Their opponents Reading could still be relegated but realistically their superior goal difference means that even if they lose their final two and Rotherham win their final games they'll still be safe.

They make four changes from their 0-0 draw with West Brom.

Bristol City v Derby (15:00 BST)

    Martyn WaghornImage source, Rex Features

Only one of Bristol City and Derby can finish in the top six.

The Rams occupy the final play-off spot with three games to go but are just one point clear of Middlesbrough and the Ashton Gate side.

The teams played out a 1-1 draw when they met in December and a repeat of that result today would leave Frank Lampard's side in pole position to take sixth spot.

The Rams come into the game in better form, with two wins and a draw in their past three, while Lee Johnson's side have drawn one and lost two of their previous three outings.

Derby bring in Tom Huddlestone for Craig Bryson, while Bristol City make three alterations. Niki Maenpaa returns in goal and Nathan Baker and Jamie Paterson come back into the XI.

    Paul WarneImage source, Rex Features

West Brom face relegation-threatened Rotherham United in a game which could see the Millers consigned to the drop back to League One.

Realistically, Paul Warne's men have got to pick up four points from their final two games and hope that Millwall lose both of theirs.

The Baggies, already assured of a play-off place, include strikers Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle in their team today.

Rotherham have only been able to name six substitutes after Jerry Yates withdrew with illness.

  19. A huge game at the Stadium of Lightpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 27 April 2019

    Sunderland v Portsmouth (15:00 BST)

    Jack RossImage source, Rex Features

There's a huge game in League One this afternoon and it's a replay of last month's entertaining Checkatrade Trophy final.

That day, Portsmouth reigned supreme on penalties in front of a sell-out Wembley crowd, but today the prize is a bit different.

Both sides are battling to win promotion from the third tier after being neck and neck towards the top of the table all season.

But the pressure is on today, with both clubs also having a game in hand on second-placed Barnsley.

It's official - welcome back to the English Football League, Leyton Orient!

A goalless draw at home to Braintree is enough for the O's to be crowned National League champions and they'll be back in League Two next season after a two-year absence.

    Congratulations!
