    IN! SURELY?!

    No!

Mike Dean's watch says no. Sergio Aguero heads a corner against the bar and down, got a touch from the keeper too. It looked very close in real time but the technology says no goal!

Aguero was given a goal (correctly) against Burnley of course that was just as close...

Colin Todd: David Silva taking over from Fernandinho tonight. Lucky to be still on the pitch.

Sean: Leicester in good form and clearly came to play. City need to get a goal early. Nervous for us. This will be a better match than any this past weekend

BRILLIANT form Bernardo Silva! That is sensational. He gets the ball tight on the right touchline, has two defenders on him and still manages to dribble past them both, into the area, past another man and then has a shot blocked. Like an inverse Ricky Villa, that was superb.

From the corner Phil Foden has another shot blocked. Manchester City turning the screw...

David Silva has got to be careful - he's not got into this game at all.

Too tense. Can I swap places with Alan Gosschalk?

FYI Alan (19:48) is currently walking down a canal in France and keeping in touch via these updates....

Two shots on target in the game so far - one per team. It's a really good watch. Not one-way traffic at all.

As it stands, Liverpool would stay on top of the table.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 23 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Leicester

Nasty, cynical from David Silva, hacking down Youri Tielemans on the counter as Leicester looked to break. Deservedly booked, the man with the greatest hair transplant known to man.

    It's incredible.

City then break as Silva cuts out a pass but it comes to nothing. Compelling viewing.

Jamie: I feel nervous watching this. And I’m a Newcastle fan. Cracking end to a brilliant season. Finally appreciating football as a beautiful game that City and Liverpool are giving us

After the dross of yesterday, I would fancy this Leicester side next year to finish higher than Utd and Arsenal. Playing great football, good young players and with a clear pattern of play. One or two additions and they're cooking on gas. 1000-1 odds??

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 22 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Leicester

Lovely pass over the top finds Raheem Sterling inside the area, he's had a quiet start but gathers it in nicely on the left of the box. The England man tries to flick it inside and wants a penalty against Jonny Evans for hands - Mike Dean says no way.

Turn and break. Jamie Vardy starts Leicester off down the right but David Silva is all the way back there to mop up.

This is really good from Leicester though, they are asking just as many questions as they are being asked - Vincent Kompany has to defend well in the middle.

There’s a little bit of anxiety in the Man City team because of how Leicester are set up. There are questions being asked of them that have not been asked this season.

    Man City 0-0 Leicester

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Pep Guardiola is prowling about in his technical area as usual, fidgeting away, having a word with the fourth official, shouting and pointing at his players.

Brendan Rodgers looks more relaxed but every time something significant happens, he writes it down on a little pad, which he stuffs back in his pocket.

Long time left yet obviously but it does seem a bit edgy in the stands.

    Chris Bevan

A lone voice in the crowd near me starts a rendition of "now you're gonna believe us, we're gonna win the league"... just before Kyle Walker looks up and balloons a shot into the top tier from 40 yards out.

    Not great timing, that.

Bernardo Silva wriggles into the Leicester area but he has two or three men around him and Hamza Choudhury makes a diligent tackle. Phil Foden then slams a shot awy over the top.

  17. Postpublished at 17 mins

Leicester wil take that all day long - Kyle Walker ends a typically fluent passage of play with a shot from fully 40 yards which goes into the top tier.

    Not from there...

Did I say a minute ago that Phil Foden shot straight at Ederson? The pressure's got to me.

  19. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Leicester

Leicester's bright spark continues, Jamie Vardy receives the ball about 40 yards out, could isolate Vincent Kompany and run at him but instead squares it to Youri Tielemans. He shoots from a long way out and it's easy for Ederson.

    Wrong decision!
