I understand that's because Rangers insisted they do so because the red in the Aberdeen strip apparently clashes with the Rangers goalkeeping kit. So, Rangers asked the SPFL and Aberdeen if they could wear their change colours. I have to say, I can't remember an occasion where Aberdeen have played in their change colours against Rangers.
