West Brom keeper Sam Johnstone played for Aston Villa last season - could that be the storyline that works in the Baggies' favour?

The home side are up first - Mason Holgate to take it for Jimmy Shan's side.

While Aston Villa's side is packed with attacking players, West Brom are without Jay Rodriguez and suspended duo Dwight Gayle and Hal Robson-Kanu.

Who takes the spot-kicks for the Baggies?!

The corner is abysmal and is cleared to touch by West Brom.

The visitors have managed to win a corner but Villa defender Tyrone Mings is down and in pain.

Jack Grealish scoops the ball onto the hand of Craig Dawson - but the arm is in a fairly natural position and the referee doesn't bat an eyelid.

They're challenging Villa - 'can you break us down?'

So far the answer is a resounding no, but there's still five minutes left.

Keinan Davis replaces Ahmed Elmohamady for Aston Villa, who still have one sub remaining.

Dean Smith's side have less than seven minutes to find a goal, while West Brom hang on for penalties.

But where is the man on the end of it?! No-one has gambled and West Brom escape.

Tammy Abraham takes aim from outside the area but the ball is always rising.

It smacks of desperation from Aston Villa, who are really struggling to break down this well-drilled Baggies back-line.

Jonathan Leko is buzzing around for West Brom in attack, trying to put some kind of pressure on the Villa defenders.

But he can't do it on his own and the ball just keeps coming back.

Having said that, West Brom look pretty comfortable - considering they're knackered and a man down!

Is Jack Grealish feeling the weight on his shoulders?

The Villa playmaker tries to do it all himself on the byline but runs the ball out of play.

He's certainly the man all his team-mates will be looking to for inspiration.

The second half of extra-time has started.

Villa have 15 more minutes to break down the 10 men of West Brom, or it's a penalty shootout.

Job half-done for West Brom, who are keeping their opponents at arm's length despite being a man down.

We are 15 minutes away from a penalty shootout to reach the Championship play-off final.

Jack Grealish is becoming more and more influential for the visitors.

He plays a one-two and wins a corner - Villa try a couple shots from range but they're blocked.

Well into an extra minute at the end of this first additional half.

It's not quite happening for Villa going forward at the moment.

Tyrone Mings steps out of defence and plays a slick one-two with Jack Grealish, but the defender kicks the ball against his standing foot and it loops over.

West Brom are hanging in there valiantly.
