Dundee United boss Robbie Neilson and coach Lee McCulloch are at Hamilton this afternoon. As things stand, they've chosen the wrong game, with the Championship runners-up poised to face St Mirren over two legs this week in the Premiership promotion play-off.

  4. 'Ten-man Dundee too comfortable'published at 13:32 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    HT: Dundee 1-0 St Mirren

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

Oran Kearney's got to think at half time, maybe change their formation as they've only had that one shot that's tested the Dundee defence. Dundee are just far too comfortable out there and they've only got ten men. I don't think that's on if you're a St Mirren supporter

  5. Long way to safety still for Acciespublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    HT: Hamilton 1-0 St Johnstone

    Derek Ferguson
Former Rangers & Hamilton midfielder on Sportsound

Still a lot to do for Hamilton Accies. Yes, they find themselves a goal up, yes, St Mirren are losing but Dundee are down to 10 men. You know what, there's still a long, long way to go.

I've just got a feeling Oran Kearney won't be here next season, I think he'll part ways with the club and go back home. It's difficult for him, family over in Ireland, so I think whether they stay up or go down - I think he'll go.

This first half has gone so well for Hamilton Academical. Fittingly, two of the heroes who hauled this club into the big time five years ago combining for the goal - Tony Andreu with the corner and Ziggy Gordon with the finish. It’s what Accies have deserved, they have been the better side from the off. Can they keep it going?

  9. HALF-TIME Motherwell 3-0 Livingstonpublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

Motherwell cruising to victory after a bonkers first half featuring a David Turnbull double and three penalties, with two of them missed.

Poor defending at set-pieces allowed Liam Donnelly and Turnbull to put the hosts 2-0 up. Turnbull then scored a spot-kick to give his side a three-goal lead with 25 minutes played.

Ryan Hardie had a penalty saved for Livi before Motherwell raced straight up the park and won another spot-kick.

Turnbull took it as he went for his hat-trick but his weak effort was palmed away by Ross Stewart.

  10. HALF-TIME Dundee 1-0 St Mirrenpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

The whistle blows at Dens Park and St Mirren are 45 minutes closer to a relegation play-off against Dundee United.

The Buddies are a Cammy Kerr goal down and despite being a man up following Darren O'Dea's red card, they have been unable to make their numerical advantage tell.

With Hamilton Accies leading St Johnstone, St Mirren require a big second-half swing to save their top-flight status.

The Accies are almost there. Ziggy Gordon's goal has them four points clear of second bottom St Mirren, who trail at Dens Park.

Crazier still... David Turnbull, on a hat-trick, sees his weak effort saved by Ross Stewart.

  14. PENALTYpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

Crazy stuff. Motherwell's man-of-the-moment David Turnbull breaks clear and is clipped by goalkeeper Ross Stewart.

  17. CLOSE!published at 13:11 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Hamilton 1-0 St Johnstone

Darian MacKinnon is known for his hard graft and crunching tackles but the Accies midfielder shows us he has a bit more in his locker with a strong run taking him away from three opponents before his shot from 20 yards is just over.

    Dundee 1-0 St Mirren

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Dens Park

The early goal for Dundee certainly rocked the 2,500 St Mirren fans who made the trip but Darren O’Dea's dismissal has them back in full voice once again.

If Dundee can manage to hold on to this lead after playing 70 minutes with just 10 men, this will do James McPake’s chances of landing the job as manager on a permanent basis the world of good.

  19. CLOSE!published at 13:07 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Hamilton 1-0 St Johnstone

David Wotherspoon has another go for Saints and this time his curling shot from the right flashes narrowly wide of the opposite top corner.

The visitors are coming back strongly.

  20. More than £5m for Turnbull?published at 13:05 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Motherwell 3-0 Livingston

Nothing like a wee bit of hyperbole, eh?

David Turnbull now has 15 goals this season and has very much looked the part. Chief executive Alan Burrows told BBC Scotland it would take a club record fee to tear him away from Fir Park, but would Motherwell turn down £5m. Doubtful...
