Ryan Hardie misses a golden chance to reduce the deficit as the Livingston striker fails to convert from four yards after a lovely cross from Shaun Byrne. The striker's sclaffed effort is kicked clear by Motherwell goalie Mark Gillespie and the visitors' misery continues.

St Mirren go close to an equaliser but Kyle McAllister's low left-foot drive from the angle of the box is brilliantly saved by Jack Hamilton.
