Well, that was quite a day as Kilmarnock and Aberdeen had a thrilling see-saw scrap for third place and Celtic got their hands on the title trophy.

That's the Premiership done and dusted for another season but there is still more football to come...

On Thursday, Dundee United meet St Mirren in the first leg of the top-flight play-off final, with the second leg in Paisley next Sunday.

We also have the Scottish Cup final on Saturday, with Celtic chasing a third successive clean sweep of domestic honours. Can Hearts spring a surprise at Hampden or will the juggernaut roll on?

In the build-up to next weekend's Scottish Cup final, BBC Radio Scotland’s Sportsound is going On the Road to Hampden Park.

Broadcasting live from the national stadium on Wednesday, 22 May, it is an ideal opportunity to ask the Sportsound panel a question. Presenter David Currie will be joined by Stephen McManus, Gary Naysmith, Paul Hartley and BBC Scotland’s chief sports writer Tom English.

Of course, Celtic manager Neil Lennon had to address questions on his own future but he's only interested in next weekend's Scottish Cup final.

"First of all, we've got to get next week out of the way," he tells BBC Sportsound. "It's not a foregone conclusion and we have to prepare the best we can and take care of that."

The treble treble is on. Will Celtic get the better of Hearts again at Hampden?

Will Kilmarnock assistant manager Alex Dyer be on the move too?

"We are proud," he tells BBC Scotland. "A hard working squad bought into everything the gaffer said. There's a great core of lads and they will be here again next season."

Asked if he fancies being assistant manager with Scotland, he breaks off the interview and laughs, saying "someone is calling". Maybe that's Steve Clarke offering him another job?

Hibernian head coach Paul Heckingbottom: “Terrific performance. We got punished for two errors. Everything we did wrong came back to haunt us but everything we did right we didn’t get the rewards for.

“We have to recruit goals, we have to be more ruthless at the top end of the pitch.

"You can control so much with the things on the training ground and sometimes you just want to be on there to pass the ball in the net as well. It’s not just strikers, it’s all over the pitch."

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is now banking on Celtic winning the Scottish Cup for a European place.

"Hibs made the game really open," he says of the win at Easter Road. "We rode our luck initially but once we equalised, we were the better team. The winning goal was a fantastic goal.

"We asked the players to do their job and we got the three points and 67 points despite all those injuries this season it's still not bad. We congratulate Kilmarnock.

“Hopefully, Celtic go and complete a historic treble treble and it means we get into Europe. We’ve given ourselves a chance."

Here's a bit more detail on those words from Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke as he soaks up the applause at Rugby Park.

He opens with: "This is more nerve wracking than sitting in that box watching that game of football, trust me.

"Listen, the thing about football and clubs like this, it's important on today, this last day of the season, with a record points total of 67, finished third in the league - the manager gets a lot of credit, but see this group of people over here (the players), I'm nothing without the players.

"Without the players a football club doesn't operate because these guys have been magnificent, they have to go to the pitch week in, week out because we wanted to do it ourselves - not wait for Aberdeen - but here on our pitch, this is Kilmarnock.

"What you have to remember is this guy over here you have the best owner I've ever come across in football... and remember I worked for Mr Roman Abramovich. I think Billy Bowie is richer!

"The most important thing at any football club in the world is the supporters, when I came here there weren't as many, there was a disconnect but together we are stronger.

"In my time at Kilmarnock sorry I didn't win you a trophy but as I stand here in front of three stands of Killie supporters and we say bye bye Rangers and make sure next season we say bye bye to Celtic too. This is Kilmarnock, this belongs to you.

"For me, I take this, this is my trophy. Thank you."

So, has Mikey Johnston played his way into Celtic's cup final team after his two goals today?

Neil Lennon explains: "He was on the cusp of it anyway but he really showed what he can do. It's nice for the fans to see a little glimpse of the future."

After getting his winners' medal, Celtic manager Neil Lennon: "It's an amazing feeling. I never thought it would happen but here I am again on trophy day. This is the important bit - they've got to enjoy the moment."

Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke is on fire now. After heaping praise on the players, he says Billy Bowie is the best owner he's ever dealt with, adding with a grin "and I've worked with Roman Abramovich".

He doesn't say where he's going but that's definitely a sign off on his two seasons at Rugby Park as he says "I'm sorry I didn't win you a trophy". He then points to the happy fans and says: "This is my trophy".

Chants of "stay, stay, stay" from the Killie fans as an emotional Stevie Clarke begins his public address.

Now he's being soaked with a cup of fizz by Youssouf Mulumbu. "That's a fine," jokes the manager over the microphone.

Meanwhile, at Rugby Park, the home players are out on the pitch, along with manager Stevie Clarke, lapping up the adulation of the fans.

Lots of 'Thank You' banners on show.

Look out those passports, Killie are heading for Europe for the first time in 18 years.

Here it comes... Fireworks, tickertape, streamers and bouncing players for the eighth year running at Celtic Park.

It must be getting harder and harder to dream up ideas for the celebratory t-shirts.

Karamoko Dembele is up getting a medal! The 16-year-old has only played 45 minutes...

Hang on, the lesser spotted Marvin Compper is up there too. It's a free-for-all.

Former Celtic captain Paul McStay brings the Premiership trophy out and the players are not far behind, each getting big licks from the stadium announcer as they go up to get their medals.

Hearts manager Craig Levein hopes to have players back from injury in time for Saturday's Scottish Cup Final, but was left frustrated by another knock today.

He tells BBC Scotland: “I’m a bit annoyed that Olly Lee got injured.

"Celtic had won the league and we give them credit for that, but there was stuff today that I was pleased with. We passed the ball well so we’ll see what we take out of it."

We're told Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke will be addressing the fans pretty soon. It will be fascinating to hear what he says.

The Dons did their bit, beating Hibs once again but it's not enough to leapfrog Kilmarnock.

Fourth place it is for Aberdeen and they will need Celtic to beat Hearts in the Scottish Cup final to qualify for Europe.
