Rangers used to have a brilliant record coming to Rugby Park but over the past season or two it's completely flipped. Kilmarnock, you know the strength of their team, they way they work it, when they've not got the ball they don't panic and get back in that nice shape. It was complete Rangers domination, they nicked it, got the goal and are now sitting back off the ball with something to hang on to.

  2. Hearts lose Lee to injurypublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Celtic 1-0 Hearts

An very early change for Hearts as Olly Lee goes off with a knock. Ryan Edwards is on in his place.

Lee is one of the few players involved today that you'd fancy for a cup final start.

Daryl Horgan works the space to get a shot away but the Hibernian winger's shot trundles wide.

How will the Dons react to news of that Killie goal?

Chris Burke has been like a new signing for Kilmarnock this season, been absolutely brilliant. Ball over the top and what a finish, right in the corner across Foderingham. What a dream start for Kilmarnock. The game has just come to life

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:12 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Rangers

Close to a quick-fire equaliser for Rangers as Ryan Kent weaves into the penalty box, but the on-loan Liverpool winger's shot is pushed away by Jamie MacDonald and it hits off team-mate Kirk Broadfoot and wide.

Alfredo Morelos then finds space inside the penalty box but fires wastefully into the side netting.

    Chris Burke

Youssouf Mulumbu clips a lovely pass into the path of Chris Burke, who is all alone inside the penalty area and the former Rangers man lashes a shot low beyond Wes Foderingham.

It all came from another player losing possession in midfield - this time Rangers' Glen Kamara.

It's Killie's turn to hand their opponents a chance as Stuart Findlay's attempted clearance is charged down.

Alfredo Morelos lashes a shot that is pushed away by Jamie MacDonald and Daniel Candeias fires against the crossbar.

  8. Killie first to threatenpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Rangers

Rangers were toying with Kilmarnock, but they were lulled into a false sense of security as a slack bit of play in midfield by Joe Worrall and suddenly the home side are in the attack.

Youssouf Mulumbu wins the ball and sets Eamonn Brophy off on a run into the penalty box, but Rangers lash the ball clear.

What a way to start the day for Celtic. Wonderful play by Olivier Ntcham on the left, nice little switch of play to Mikey Johnston who gets his pivot and nice little turn before he plays a one-two with Euan Henderson.

Neil Lennon's full remit is to get the treble treble so his full concentration is on that and I think he believes if he does that he'll be in pole position. So Neil carries on as he would and all the speculation comes from us guys and all the support. He'll just be thinking get the job done, get next week out the way and then talk to the board.

  15. Nothing to say on Morelos 'noise' - Gerrardpublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Kilmarnock v Rangers (15:00)

Steven Gerrard has been speaking to BT Sport about striker Alfredo Morelos, with the Rangers manager refusing to address the "noise" about this perhaps being the Colombian's final game for the club.

Several sides have been linked with a move for the Scottish Premiership's top scorer.

"If and when there are bids, I’ll be able to answer question on him and his future but in terms of the noise, there is nothing to say," Gerrard said.

  16. Hibs boss 'jealous' of visitorspublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (15:00)

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Easter Road

Hibernian boss Paul Heckingbottom says he is “jealous” of Derek McInnes and the Aberdeen team who are still in with a chance of securing a European spot for next season. He also confirmed that his desire is for on-loan duo Marc McNulty and Stephane Omeonga to return next season but talks with Reading and Genoa are no further forward than they were a few weeks ago.

The Dons boss has told his players they are likely to require a win today to maintain any chance of finishing in third place and insists should they do so 67 points would be a fair achievement after a campaign littered with injuries.

Aberdeen have lost only one of the last nine meetings between the sides and with the carrot of a place in the Europa League qualifiers they may just have that little edge again today.

  17. Celtic stars will return for finalpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Celtic v Hearts (15:00)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has rested no less than seven key players but confirmed a number of them should be fine for next Saturday's Scottish Cup final: "We're hoping James [Forrest] will be fine. Mikael Lustig should be fine. Odsonne [Edouard] has got a a tight hamstring. So we couldn't take any chances with him. But they should all be fine. [Scott] Brown has an irritation in the toe, but again I'm fairly confident that will be okay."

  18. Celtic warm-up for treble treble bidpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Celtic v Hearts (15:00)

Celtic are one game away from a possible third consecutive domestic treble, yet there has been an element of hand-wringing concerning what lies ahead for the champions, exacerbated by last weekend's meek loss at Ibrox.

Neil Lennon was asked to steady the ship following Brendan Rodgers' abrupt departure but will the interim manager be staying on? And will there be a major overhaul of players over the summer?

Those concerns will be put to one side for one hell of a party if a fringe Celtic side sign off with a good win before the Premiership trophy is trundled out and follow that with a win at Hampden next weekend.

  19. Can Killie keep up league record against Gers?published at 14:51 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Kilmarnock v Rangers (15:00)

Since Kilmarnock have a better goal difference than Aberdeen, a home win guarantees European football for the Ayrshire side for the first time in 18 years.

Killie have not lost to Rangers in the league this season, drawing twice at Ibrox and coming from behind to win 2-1 at Rugby Park in January.

However, Rangers did bundle Kilmarnock out of both cup competitions this term, including a 5-0 trouncing in a Scottish Cup replay at Ibrox.

  20. Aberdeen buoyed by Easter Road formpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 19 May 2019

    Hibernian v Aberdeen (15:00)

Aberdeen need to better whatever Kilmarnock do today to leapfrog the Ayrshire side into third. Only a huge win will do if Killie take three points.

Dons boss Derek McInnes does enjoy a very good record at Easter Road. In seven league visits, he has lost just once to the Edinburgh side. His team won a League Cup penalty shoot-out there in September and came from behind to win 2-1 on their most recent trip to the 'Leith San Siro'.
