    Dundee United head coach Robbie Neilson is not at all downhearted with failing to take a lead to Paisley on Sunday.

    "The first leg of these play-off games are very edgy, but I thought we handled it very well," he tells BBC Scotland.

    "We controlled it for long periods and had the better chances in the first half, while the second became cagey.

    "If you had offered me 90 minutes at St Mirren Park to get in the Premiership, I would have taken it.

    "These games can be difficult at home because of the expectation level. We have been there before and we've won there and I'm confident we can do it."

  8. 'We just need to win a game of football'

    St Mirren manager Oran Kearney seems satisfied with the draw.

    "Ideally we had enough attacking play to get a goal, but we take the draw and move on," he tells BBC Scotland's Sportsound.

    "We've been very good at home and the crowd have got behind us.

    "We need to do that again on Sunday."

    Asked if there is extra pressure being the Premiership side, he said: "We just need to win a game of football, it's as simple as that."

    On-loan Aberdeen centre-half Mark Reynolds tells BBC Scotland Sportsound that he is still full of confidence that Dundee United can win promotion.

    "We knew it was going to be like this," the defender who is joining United on a permanent basis. "We both sounded each other out.

    "The pressure is still on both teams. It now turns into a normal cup tie to get into the Premiership.

    "We are still confident. We knew St Mirren are a good team and we knew it would be tough, but we believe we have enough good players to make the difference on Sunday."

  16. FULL-TIME Dundee United 0-0 St Mirren

    It ends as a stalemate at Tannadice as United and St Mirren fail to come up with the goals our pundits predicted before kick-off.

    But it's effectively only half-time in this Premiership Play-off final, with the combatants heading to the Simple Digital Arena on Sunday for the second leg.

    United edged it in the first half, with Vaclav Hladky denying Paul McMullan before counterpart Benjamin Siegrist saved superbly from Kyle McAllister.
