Extraordinary scenes!
Portugal thought they had a penalty but the referee, having pointed to the spot, has now AWARDED A SPOT-KICK TO SWITZERLAND after checking VAR for an incident which happened at the other end of the pitch moments earlier!
I've seen lots and lots of games but I've never seen anything like this before.

Switzerland have had opportunities but Ronaldo's goal is deciding this game at the moment. The goalkeeper should have done better but the visitors are still in it, and it has been a really good open game.

Before this game we heard from England boss Gareth Southgate ahead of tomorrow's game with the Netherlands.
This is what he had to say when asked about comparisons with the Dutch: "We played them in their first game and you can see the progress they have made the similarities are there are some exciting young players.
"I loved watching them play, the team with [Ruud] Gullit, [Marco] van Basten and Frank Rijkaard and Ronald [Koeman] as well.
"We are trying to create a team that excites our fans but we also want to win. That's what we have to do to keep progressing."
