England have arrived for their training session at Estadio D. Afonso Henriques in the northern city of Guimaraes.

I have to say it's a beautiful setting. Gareth Southgate is out inspecting the pitch with his players before training.

I'm hearing Southgate and Raheem Sterling will now face the media at around 19:15 BST.

These news conferences never start on time do they?

Word is reaching me that Gareth Southgate and Raheem Sterling are running late.

England’s flight was a bit late and the Netherlands are only just finishing training in Guimaraes.

The new Premier League season starts in just over nine weeks time.

    Hooray, I hear you say.

But the games keep on coming for the likes of Harry Kane, Virgil van Dijk and Bernardo Silva.

Is the Nations League finals one tournament too far in what is already a congested calendar or, as Chris Sutton says, is this mini-tournament better than playing meaningless friendlies?

I'm a fan of the Nations League. Gone are the days of meaningless friendlies. England are in a semi-final and there's a chance to keep the momentum going. We might as well try and win it.

Welcome to coverage of the Uefa Nations League finals.

England are two wins from lifting silverware! If that's not an exciting prospect then I don't know what it.

Gareth Southgate and Raheem Sterling, who is set to win his 50th cap tomorrow, are on media duty ahead of the Netherlands match.

We'll bring you all the latest from the Three Lions news conference, which is scheduled to start at 18:45 BST, before concentrating on the first match of the mini-tournament - hosts Portugal against Switzerland which kicks-off at 19:45.

England are in Portugal to try and win their biggest competition since lifting the World Cup in 1966.

If they are to do it they'll have to beat the Netherlands tomorrow (19:45 BST) - as well as the winners of tonight's opening game between Portugal and Switzerland in Sunday's final (19:45).

Will there be an open-top bus parade if they do?
