What will that goal do to the Netherlands' momentum? They looked so much more lively than in the first half. They'd also just made their second change of the game right before Portugal's goal with Donny van de Beek replacing Steven Bergwijn.

Rui Patrício is making up for a first half devoid of action as he saves from Memphis Depay. The corner is cleared and Portugal break quickly but Steven Bergwijn gets a crucial challenge in on Gonçalo Guedes.

Portugal have suddenly come alive now and they are winning corner after corner.

Again, though, it comes to nothing following a breakdown in communication between Bruno Fernandes and Gonçalo Guedes.

The hosts need to do better with these set pieces.

Great persistence by Cristiano Ronaldo as he keeps the ball alive as Portugal break quickly. He plays the ball into the box for Rúben Dias but his cross is put behind for another corner.

Bernardo Silva's flick on is headed behind by Marten de Roon and Jose Fonte almost gets his head to the resulting corner but Jasper Cillessen just about gathers.

Lively start to the second half!

Memphis Depay slips in Georginio Wijnaldum, he looks offside but the flag stays down. Wijnaldum charges towards goal and attempts to lift the ball over Rui Patrício but the Portugal goalkeeper gets a hand to it.

Now the flag goes up for offside.Wijnaldum is probably relieved it would not have counted.

Now Steven Bergwijn is in on the left side of the box but his attempt to find someone in the middle is snuffed out by Jose Fonte.

Solid start by the Netherlands as Memphis Depay almost gets away but he just can't quite get the ball under control.

Genuinely did not realise Ryan Babel had been on the pitch in the first half.

He's not anymore as Quincy Promes is on in his place for the second half. The Netherlands certainly needed to do something.
