  1. FULL-TIME Hibernian 1-0 St Mirrenpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

Hibs get the job done in the end - but only just. It took returning hero Scott Allan's strike five minutes from time to subdue a dogged and sharp St Mirren, who already look a far superior outfit under Jim Goodwin than the limp squad that barely stayed up last term.

After a drab first half, Allan and Joe Newell twice struck a post for Hibs, while new signing Ilkay Durmus menaced for St Mirren.

It was Allan's clever 85th-minute shot, reversed low beyond Vaclav Hladky, that proved decisive.

  2. FULL-TIME - Ross County 3-0 Hamilton Academicalpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

It's a winning return to the Scottish Premiership for County and a deserved one at that. Three goals without reply and they make it five wins out of five in all competitions.

Hamilton were better in the second half than they had been in the first, but their league campaign is off to a forgettable start.

  5. CLOSE!published at 16:48 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Hibernian 0-0 St Mirren

Is it too early to nominate miss of the season contenders?

Christian Doidge has just side-footed wide from a yard out after a brilliant run and cross from Florian Kamberi.

Quite how he missed that is beyond anyone inside Easter Road.

    Ross County 3-0 Hamilton Academical

A couple of Owain Fon Williams saves keeps the score down for Hamilton as Liam Fontaine and Brian Graham are denied.

  8. FULL-TIME Celtic 7-0 St Johnstonepublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

Champions Celtic send out a message on the opening day of the Premiership season as they hammer hapless St Johnstone.

Ryan Christie helped himself to a hat-trick, including two stunning goals, with Mikey Johnston, Odsonne Edouard, Olivier Ntcham and Leigh Griffiths adding the other goals.

    Scott Allan

At long, long last, Hibs have their goal. And it's a cracker.

Paul Hanlon's pass is flicked into the path of Scott Allan by Christian Doidge, and the midfielder brilliantly reverses his right-foot finish beyond Vaclav Hladky.

    Ross County 3-0 Hamilton Academical

County striker Brian Graham should do better as he bears down on goal at the end of a sweeping counter attack. His chip goes off target.

  13. CLOSE!published at 16:40 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Hibernian 0-0 St Mirren

With Hibs pressing for a goal, St Mirren, as they have done throughout this contest, break downfield and win a corner.

New signing Sean McLoughlin steals in at the back post but heads into the side netting. A big let-off for the hosts.

  18. CLOSE!published at 16:29 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Hibernian 0-0 St Mirren

What a miss from the Hibs strikers!

Flo Kamberi is played through on goal by Scott Allan, he's one-on-one with Vaclav Hladky, who makes a cracking low stop.

The rebound falls just behind the onrushing Christian Doidge, who can't get the ball out of his feet and knock it into the empty net.

That might come back to haunt Hibs...

    Olivier Ntcham

Now that's a first touch. Olivier Ntcham is only just on the park, but the French midfielder latches on to Odsonne Edouard's pass and lashes a left-foot effort beyond Zander Clark at his near post.

It's a rout at Celtic Park.
