  1. Farewell!published at 16:54 British Summer Time 24 August 2019

Jamie Vardy goes to the Leicester fans to celebrate. That was a hard-fought win but a win nonetheless. Loads to like about the way Sheffield United came back into it. They certainly have spirit in abundance. Brendan Rogers is on the pitch hugging people.

I need a hug too. but first I'll go and write a match report, which you can read here.

Thanks for your company today. If you're a Sheffield United fan, hang in there. If you're a Leicester fan, go get a beer.

    Stay safe hombres.

    Sheffield United 1-2 Leicester City

Sheffield United seeing more and more ball, Leicester dropping deeper and deeper but remaining organised.

    Pressure...

    Sheffield United 1-2 Leicester City

Ayoze Perez off, Wes Morgan on. Striker off, defender on.

It seems Leicester are happy with what they have.

Now then, Ravel Morrison is coming on for Sheffield United. A debut and a chance to show everyone what he's about after what feels like years in the abyss.

  11. WHAT A SAVEpublished at 75 mins

    Sheffield United 1-2 Leicester City

Kasper Schmeichel, turn it in lad.

Billy Sharp heads down, John Lundstram volleys and the cat turns it around the post.

What a shame, a flag comes up eventually to say Sharp was offside. Such a moment of goalkeeping wonder should be allowed to stand.

  12. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Sheffield United 1-2 Leicester City

The stuffing has been briefly knocked out of Sheffield United now and Leicester control the pace for a short spell, with a James Maddison corner headed clear.

What a hit from Harvey Barnes. Not an easy technique but he made it look it.

    Harvey Barnes

Pick this out. What a smash.

A deep cross from Christian Fuchs is cleared to the edge of the box and there is Leicester substitute Harvey Barnes to hit one on the half volley. It is a missile and is past Dean Henderson before he can even blink. He is motionless as the net ripples and Barnes races away.

You don't hit them like that every day!

    Sheffield United 1-1 Leicester City

There's that Leicester threat though. The speedster - Jamie Vardy - chases a long clearance and wins a corner.

James Maddison takes it and Jonny Evans forces another corner. This one is too deep and gets cleared but hang on... HAVE SOME OF THIS....

  16. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Sheffield United 1-1 Leicester City

Sheffield United have the wind in their sails now as a string of crosses come into the box, often finding the frame of Caglar Soyuncu to clear.

Leicester need some smelling salts or something. Suddenly they are on the edge of disaster.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 mins

    Sheffield United 1-1 Leicester City

Dennis Praet off for Leicester, here comes Harvey Barnes.

Brendan Rodgers wants to change it and stem the flow of home attacks. There's another goal in this game...

    Oliver McBurnie

That's what a record signing can do.

An old-school goal. Get it wide, get it swung in with a bit of quality and attack it.

George Baldock with the quality, Oliver McBurnie with the attacking and his header nestles in the bottom corner. A first for the club and he races to celebrate wildly.

    Sheffield United 0-1 Leicester City

John Lundtrsam is in the book for a heavy tackle on James Maddison. Lundstram shrugs his shoulders and we go on. Leicester in fairness are offering little but are certainly managing the game well.

I wonder if we will see Ravel Morrison? You get the feel the home side need something different in the final third to link their play a bit more.

  20. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Sheffield United 0-1 Leicester City

Billy Sharp's first contribution is to throw himself into a tackle, drawing roars from deep in the guts of those behind the goal. They loved that. There's definitely more to the tempo from the home side now.
