Pep Guardiola trudges onto the pitch with his hands in his pockets. He's a born winner and he's not happy it's come to this.

Nuno Espirito Santo looks like he's played the 90 minutes. He's sweating in this heat and has been sipping water constantly for the last half an hour. I don't blame him, I'd rather be by a pool.

Bernardo Silva's twisting and turning but can't find space to cross on the left. Eventually Aleix Garcia swings it in but it's headed away.

Wolves then look to break through Dion Sanderson. It comes out to the left and there's some lovely skill from Ruben Vinagre before the attack breaks down.

Mason Greenwood is making a bit of a name for himself on this trip.

The 17-year-old from Bradford scored an excellent goal for Manchester United against Leeds on Wednesday. Inter Milan are another step up entirely.

It seemed a bit outrageous when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the teenager could start United’s opening Premier League game against Chelsea at Old Trafford on 11 August.

Maybe it’s not so far-fetched after all.

The highlights (Man City in their bright pink and yellow kit) press with intensity and it forces Rui Patricio into a mistake.

Man Utd nearly double their advantage after some terrific play by two academy graduates.

Tahith Chong has been a constant threat down the left since coming on and the winger whips a testing cross into the Inter box.

    Wolves 0-0 Man City

Ben Knight makes a nice run in behind the defence but the ball over the top has too much weight on it.

There were a few nice combinations from the young Wolves players beforehand though.

    Wolves 0-0 Man City

Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker are all off now too. Three of the starting back four have been replaced.

Can Wolves' young pups stay in this? It's been a terrific defensive performance from the team so far. An intriguing match all round.

    Mason Greenwood

It's one of Man Utd's home grown youngsters who breaks the deadlock.

Ashley Young's free-kick is parried into the path of Mason Greenwood, who cuts back onto his left foot before smashing it past Samir Handanovic.

That was the finish of an experienced marksman, beyond his 17 years.
