What's the opposite of a defender having an attacker in his back pocket? Whatever it is Angelo Ogbonna is it.

He is skinned again by Jacob Murphy who has been good since coming on. West Ham clear.

West Ham are backheeling it like Brazil all of a sudden. This is what this crowd wants to see.

    Corner.

Newcastle centre-back Jamaal Lascelles is down clutching his calf. I assume it's just cramp because it doesn't look like the physio is going to come on.

  11. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Newcastle 1-0 West Ham

That's the best thing West Ham have done all game. Robert Snodgrass feeds Michail Antonio, the striker back heels to Jack Wilshere but the England midfielder's shot is blocked. As close as they've come.

Jacob Murphy wakes the crowd up with a driving run that leaves Angelo Ogbonna looking like he's running through treacle.

He hits a low cross-shot but it goes wide.

Pep Guardiola is in the house. His Man City team play next. I can't say he looks too enthralled at the match in front of him.

He looks like a teenager in a maths lesson.

  14. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Newcastle 1-0 West Ham

23-year-old midfielder Josh Cullen wasn't very influential in the first half for West Ham but he picks a good ball here to feed Pablo Zabaleta. The cross is cut out but the Hammers have started this half better.

I've just looked at the replies to a West Ham tweet about those subs. Carlos Sanchez isn't particularly popular it seems. He has come on in central midfield with Declan Rice dropping into the back four.

  20. Man Utd reject Inter's Lukaku bidpublished at 10:54 British Summer Time 20 July 2019

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport in Singapore

Manchester United have rejected a €60m bid from Inter Milan for striker Romelu Lukaku.

The bid was made two days ago and was rejected out of hand as being nowhere near United’s valuation of the player, who joined them from Everton two years ago for £75m.

Inter manager Antonio Conte has made Lukaku his number one target for the rest of the transfer window.
