Salford are halfway to victory on their Football League debut - Emmanuel Dieseruvwe finished a fine move to give them a lead over visitors Stevenage.

There's not been an awful lot in it but the newly promoted side seem to have more about them in attack, with Scott Wiseman a force down the right and Dieseruvwe and Adam Rooney a real presence up top.

Richie Towell goes into the book for Salford for a late challenge.

More thankless Kurtis Guthrie running wins Stevenage a free-kick in a promising area, as he gets in front of Salford defender Nathan Pond and draws a foul.

Veteran centre-back Pond takes a while to get up and is now limping. One to watch for Graham Alexander.

Talking of knocks - Stevenage have been forced into a change, Dean Parrett replaced by Paul Taylor.

Kurtis Guthrie is having to do a lot of thankless running as he leads the Stevenage attack.

He hasn't had too much joy so far and will do well to last the full 90 with the amount of ground he's covering.
