How will you be feeling at 15:00 BST?

It's not often we ask you this - but with just over 90 minutes until most EFL sides start their first game of the season, how are you feeling?

Salford are halfway to victory on their Football League debut - Emmanuel Dieseruvwe finished a fine move to give them a lead over visitors Stevenage.

There's not been an awful lot in it but the newly promoted side seem to have more about them in attack, with Scott Wiseman a force down the right and Dieseruvwe and Adam Rooney a real presence up top.

  4. YELLOW CARD (Towell)published at 45+2 mins

    Salford 1-0 Stevenage

Richie Towell goes into the book for Salford for a late challenge.

  5. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45+1 mins

    Salford 1-0 Stevenage

Two minutes have been added on at the end of this first half.

Salford are taking their time over a throw-in, I think they're happy to go in 1-0 up.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 44 mins

    Salford 1-0 Stevenage

More thankless Kurtis Guthrie running wins Stevenage a free-kick in a promising area, as he gets in front of Salford defender Nathan Pond and draws a foul.

Veteran centre-back Pond takes a while to get up and is now limping. One to watch for Graham Alexander.

Talking of knocks - Stevenage have been forced into a change, Dean Parrett replaced by Paul Taylor.

    Bravo, Jack. Bravo.

    Salford 1-0 Stevenage

Kurtis Guthrie is having to do a lot of thankless running as he leads the Stevenage attack.

He hasn't had too much joy so far and will do well to last the full 90 with the amount of ground he's covering.

The ball isn't sticking for the visitors right now.

  9. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Salford 1-0 Stevenage

Dean Parrett hasn't found his range yet from set-pieces.

The Stevenage playmaker has his six iron out instead of his nine - easily done, the numbers look the same if they're the wrong way around.

Matthew Chapman: This would be a great start for Salford if this score-line stayed the same!

Liam Clarkson: Anyone else in Australia watching 4th div English football on TV? Magnificent stuff.

Delighted to have you with us Liam. If you want to keep an eye on the Ashes at the same time you can here.

    Salford 1-0 Stevenage

Scott Wiseman may be a right-back but he's getting up and down, and even cutting inside occasionally.

The Salford man this time passes infield to Adam Rooney, whose shot is off target.

  12. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Salford 1-0 Stevenage

Stevenage look at sixes and sevens now defensively, goalscorer Emmanuel Dieseruvwe heading over a high cross at the back post.

The home side can sense weakness now and are trying for a second before the break.

    Goals change games, kids.

  13. goal

GOAL: Salford 1-0 Stevenagepublished at 29 mins

    Emmanuel Dieseruvwe

Never mind the EFL, that goal was worthy of the Premier League!

Salford debutant Martin Smith plays a sumptuous through ball to right-back Scott Wiseman, who surges forward and puts in a perfect low cross for Emmanuel Dieseruvwe to slide home.

It's come against the run of play but that's Salford's first Football League goal and they lead Stevenage.

  14. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Salford 0-0 Stevenage

Emmanuel Sonupe is in the thick of the action for the visitors - a Salford defender is very deep and nearly plays him onside as he acrobatically puts the ball in the net.

But the flag goes up to save Salford's skins.

    Stevenage having a good spell.

  15. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 26 mins

    Salford 0-0 Stevenage

Stevenage winger Emmanuel Sonupe wants a penalty, or at least a free-kick!

He's played in by a fine Dean Parrett pass but Nathan Pond gets back for Salford to stop him in his tracks.

Very close to a big opening for the away side.

Paul Scholes watches SalfordImage source, PA Media

Salford co-owner Paul Scholes is watching on at the Peninsula Stadium.

He knows a tiny bit more about League Two football than most at the club - he had an ill-fated 31 days in charge of boyhood side Oldham last season.

  17. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Salford 0-0 Stevenage

A Stevenage set-piece causes confusion in the Salford area, with a game of pinball ensuing in the box.

The hosts escape this time but it's a warning of the threat Dino Maamria's side pose aerially.

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 18 mins

    Salford 0-0 Stevenage

Adam Rooney cracks one against the bar for Salford!

The striker looks borderline offside but allows the ball to bounce just inside the area before lashing a half-volley which I think Paul Farman tipped onto the woodwork.

    The resulting corner is cleared.

    Salford 0-0 Stevenage

Stevenage have their first real spell of possession as they look to pin back the hosts.

They're trying to use the physicality of striker Kurtis Guthrie to get up the field.

The visitors have won a free-kick which they're likely to float into the box.
