The only reason the scoreline is just three is some poor finishing in this second half.

Celtic are carving out opportunity after opportunity and will surely add to their tally.

This is as comfortable an experience in European football Celtic will have had in a long, long time.

Celtic are on a different level to this team. The movement, the passing, they got their first goal at a good time and they've built on it. Young Ryan Christie was the man who set the tempo - when he gets the ball, when he loses the ball, he's at it. His free-kick for the first goal was brilliant and his penalty - bang!

Griffiths looks sharp. The free-kick was brilliant. If he's back, wow, what a boost that is for Celtic and for Scotland.

    Scottish League Cup group stages

Hearts are being held at home by Stenhousemuir, but even a draw with a winning bonus point would be enough to nudge them back to the top of Group A after Dundee United's shock defeat by East Fife on Tuesday.

Ross County are poised to clinch top spot Group B as they lead Forfar Athletic 1-0, while Premiership rivals St Johnstone - whose qualification hopes are already dead - lead Brechin City 2-0.

And it's tight in Group F, with Partick Thistle level with Clyde as they look to secure a last-16 place, and Queen's Park beating Airdrieonians.

Classic Leigh Griffiths. An utterly fantastic finish but the outpouring of emotion around this stadium was something to behold.

That meant so much to the striker and clearly Griffiths means a lot to these supporters. He’s back.

That could be game, set and match in this tie already.

Ryan Christie has been instrumental again this evening for Celtic. His delivery created the opener. He earned the second although it did seem touch harsh on the defender. Rules are rules though.

His penalty was superb. Total confidence to slam home a crucial second.
