    Preston 2-0 Stoke

As you were still in this one and it's got a little petulant at times to be fair.

Lots of niggly challenges and free-kicks. Not much in terms of clear-cut chances for Stoke to force a way back.

The winger composes himself, takes the ball past Bartosz Bialkowski and then turns the ball home as the angle is narrowing.

That's his second of the night and the Whites fans are enjoying themselves.

Ovie Ejaria continuing to cause problems for West Brom with his trickery.

Romaine Sawyers goes in the book for bringing him down as he looked to race clear, but moments later Reading full-back Andy Yiadom is also booked for a late tackle.

    Feisty.

    Cardiff City 1-1 Huddersfield Town

    Michael Pearlman
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Cardiff only have themselves to blame as Huddersfield level with a fine strike from Trevor Chalobah.

Cardiff have missed several excellent chances to be further ahead, but Leandro Bacuna, Robert Glatzel and Joe Bennett have all failed to even find the target.

    Hard game to call now.

  14. 'Baggies home form hard to fathom'published at 20:59 British Summer Time 21 August 2019

    West Brom 0-0 Reading

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at The Hawthorns

It really is hard to fathom West Bromwich Albion’s home form in 2019.

One of the prime factors in Darren Moore’s departure in March was the Baggies’ untimely run of six games without a home win.

When caretaker boss Jimmy Shan stepped up, suddenly Albion were cured. Six home wins on the trot.

Now this season under Slaven Bilic, it’s as you were again.

Two away wins so far. And 0 out of 2 at home. And tonight’s contest is already shaping up to be the same. Reading are looking very well organised, are confident after winning for the first time themselves on Saturday. And, in on-loan Liverpool man Ovie Ejaria, they even have a man who looks capable of picking the locks in the home defence.

Albion will do well to win this.

Huddersfield’s third kit is one of the brightest I’ve ever seen.

A full house of luminous coral shirts, shorts and socks.

The Terriers have courted a fair amount of attention over their kits already this season. First Paddy Power, now Coral....

    Fulham 2-0 Millwall

Matt Smith is into the thick of the action for Millwall.

The substitute tests Fulham keeper Marcus Bettinelli with a poked effort which he scuffed slightly.

Then Tom Bradshaw and Mahlon Romeo have shots blocked by the Whites defence.

  19. goal

GOAL: Cardiff City 1-1 Huddersfield Townpublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 21 August 2019

    Trevoh Chalobah (50 mins)

Managerless Huddersfield draw level and it's the man on loan from Chelsea who's got the crucial goal.

Trevoh Chalobah picks up the ball just outside the box and produces a wonderful individual effort, driving the ball into the the danger area and drilling a left-footed shot into the bottom left hand corner, just out of the grasp of Alex Smithies.

    Preston 2-0 Stoke

Some old Leeds United pals (of sorts) in the director's box at Deepdale.

Robbie Keane, now assistant at Middlesbrough with Jonathan Woodgate and Peter Ridsdale, an adviser to Preston owner Trevor Hemmings watch on together as the hosts continue to dominate.
