  1. CLOSE!published at 5 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

Even Gylfi Sigurdsson's miscues are powerful! The Icelander mishits a cross on the right and it almost ends up as a goal, Aaron Ramsdale has to adjust his feet to tip it over the bar. Everton have started well, and win a third corner off Nathan Ake...

Richarlison is looking sharp in the early stages. He is the key man for Everton and he will be key if the visitors are to get a result here.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

On the flip side, Bournemouth may be a bit open on the break. Everton come down their right, Richarlison finds Alex Iwobi on the edge of the box and his shot is deflected away for a corner.

Lucas Digne's delivery comes to nothing.

Not far off a front four for the hosts, it's a very bold attacking line-up and I for one applaud that. the Kosovo approach. Good noise from the stands so far.

Plenty of noise from the Everton fans down at Dean Court, where it looks to be a cracking day. Plenty of shorts out in the away end.

Here in Salford we didn't get the memo.

    Watford v Arsenal (16:30 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
    Ex-Liverpool defender's predictions

It is a surprise to see a manager sacked after four games of the season, then replaced by the man he had succeeded, but this is Watford. They don't follow the manual - they write it themselves.

But Quique Sanchez Flores should give Watford a lift - I think he is one of the best managers they have had in the past few years.

    Lawro's prediction: 1-1

Quique Sanchez Flores is definitely up against it with Watford's next few fixtures. They play Arsenal today and then Man City, who need to bounce back from their defeat to Norwich.

It's a nightmare time for him to come in. I was worried watching Watford in the first game of the season and the formation did not suit them.

Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's like a circus the way they get through managers at Watford. It has not been a good start and it could have been different when Watford were leading against Newcastle but they equalised after a handball.

They have good players at the football club but I just wish chairmen backed managers a bit more.

Richarlison has scored three goals in his last two Everton appearances in all competitions – as many as in his previous 16 games combined.

He's a man for all seasons. As long as they are summer, or summer.

Everton boss Marco Silva has confirmed that Andre Gomes is out with a rib injury.

The Blues boss said: "He felt something after the Wolves match. He tried to work during the week but in the last days he felt it again. He will miss the game today.

"It's the ribs. It's something we will have to see day by day how he recovers from that situation. What we want to do is get him ready as fast as we can."

Bournemouth’s Josh King has been directly involved in seven goals in his seven Premier League matches against Everton (4 goals, 3 assists), only failing to score or assist a goal in his last appearance against them in January 2019.

With King, Harry Wilson, Callum Wilson and Dom Solanke in the team today you can't accuse Eddie Howe of not going for it.

Quique Sanchez Flores says it was not a difficult decision to return for a second spell in charge of Watford.

Sanchez Flores has replaced fellow Spaniard Javi Gracia, who was sacked with the club bottom of the Premier League with one point from four games.

The 54-year-old was in charge of Watford for the 2015-16 season before leaving at the end of that campaign.

"It was easy to say yes," said Sanchez Flores when asked about his decision to return to Vicarage Road.

"The moment I left Watford, the chance to come back was left open because of the circumstances before I left. Anything was possible."

Everton manager Marco Silva has lost against 22 of the 26 teams he’s faced in the Premier League but he’s yet to lose against Bournemouth (P4 W3 D1 L0).

Great to see Lewis Cook back for the Cherries today. Always looked a terrific talent but he's had a horrible few years on the injury front.
