GOAL - Watford 1-2 Arsenalpublished at 54 mins

    Tom Cleverley

It has been coming! Arsenal make a mess of a short goal-kick for the THIRD time and this time Watford do profit.

Bernd Leno passes to Sokratis to his right, he tries to pass into midfield but it's cut out by a sliding Gerard Deulofeu. The ball spins into the path of Tom Cleverley and he fires into the middle of the net from about 15 yards.

    Game on?

    Watford 0-2 Arsenal

The build-up play from Watford is excellent. The finish, from Abdoulaye Doucoure, is rank as he slices miles wide. It goes for a throw, in fact.

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on Radio 5 Live at Vicarage Road

It's been a great start to the second half for Watford. They have been behind in home games in the past couple of seasons and we've seen them pile on the pressure. Will that happen today?

We'll see if Arsenal have matured and whether they are serious contenders for a top four finish.

Watford need a goal in the next 10-15 minutes to make this interesting. They have had nine efforts on goal already, so I woudn't rule it out.

Arsenal sloppiness again - Matteo Guendouzi gives the ball away inside his own penalty area for the second time today, Andre Gray is held up but the ball comes back for Will Hughes, who lashes over the top.

That is ridiculous. Europa League/TV scheduling mean you can have a Saturday job and an Arsenal season ticket.

Although if you have a Saturday job I doubt you can afford one.

Luke: Yellows need to be contested after the game. Kolasinac's tackle was not half as bad as the one on Maitland-Niles less than 10 mins ago. Refs need to be held far more accountable for poor performance.

Nij: Beckham got sent off in 1998 for a petulant kick out like Pepe’s. VAR is rubbish

Jose Holebas and Matteo Guendouzi have ended up with bookings as a result of all that. Nicolas Pepe pushed Holebas and then the cavalry arrived.

And now it's ALL KICKED OFF. A proper melee after Nicolas Pepe reacts to something and there's at least 15 of them involved...

  16. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Watford 0-2 Arsenal

He's arguably been the best player on the pitch in this first half and that was superb from Gerard Deulofeu, collecting a flick from Andre Gray and setting off on a mission through the heart of the Arsenal team. He's too fast for Matteo Guendouzi, is forced wide and can't get a shot away before clattering into a cameraman. Could have been nasty for both.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 43 mins

Sead Kolasinac gets his timing all wrong like an errant bassist and chops down Will Hughes, in the book.

  18. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Watford 0-2 Arsenal

A Watford goal before the break would be a tonic for the hosts. They win a corner but it's dealt with easily enough by the Arsenal.

  19. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Watford 0-2 Arsenal

Arsenal always look like they can give you a goal though! A goal kick is played to Matteo Guendouzi on the edge of his own area, it's telegraphed and he's mobbed by two Hornets. Gerard Deulofeu gets a shot away, Bernd Leno beats it clear and the follow-up is punted into the side netting.

    Dangerous.

There were 20 passes in the build up to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's second goal for Arsenal against Watford - the longest passing sequence leading to a goal in the 2019-20 Premier League campaign so far.
