Mwamburi: I honestly didn't think it was possible for Arsenal to play worse football than under Wenger's final year, but there you have it. Emery has managed to make this team play ultimate garbage.

The fact Emery goes back to include Matteo "Can't pass" Guendouzi in the starting line up speaks volumes to why Arsenal fans are rapidly losing patience with him.

    Cesar Azpilicueta

The ball comes in from the left and there's a fortunate ricochet off Fabinho. It falls kindly for Cesar Azpilicueta who bundles it over the line!

There has been two big differences between Chelsea and Liverpool today. Chelsea are playing a very shallow line which means there is lots of space behind that back for the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane to get into. The second difference - every time Chelsea get the ball, they are under pressure from Liverpool.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:55 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

    Chelsea 0-1 Liverpool

Tammy Abraham is played in on the right and he gets away into the box. With only the keeper to beat, Adrian stands tall and makes the save.

Joel Matip was appealing for offside but whether he was or not - Adrian didn't have time to waste.

Very cool from Adrian. He lifts it over Tammy Abraham and straight to the feet of Joel Matip as Liverpool bypass Chelsea's press with ease.

Mo Salah can't win a corner at the other end though - it's good defending from Fikayo Tomori.

West Ham will be the only home team with a clean sheet today. As it stands, they remain in the top four too!

    Where's the defence!?

Anwar El Ghazi swings a cross in from the left and no defender picks up the run of John McGinn.

He just runs onto it and coolly diverts it into the net from a few yards out.

    Far too easy!

Dennis Grant: What a goal!!! Boom!

Ash Williams: Great strike by Trent but beating Kepa at his side shouldn’t look that easy.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks the likeliest to score at the Emirates. He carves out space for himself on the edge of the box, turning inside and cutting onto his left foot before drilling it towards the bottom right corner. It lacks pace and is a comfortable save in the end.

  14. Liverpool pressure pays offpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

    Chelsea 0-1 Liverpool

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Liverpool had opened with real intensity and now they have the lead. There was no stopping that free-kick from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Chelsea had actually been contemplating a change for about five minutes before the goal as Emerson was struggling.

Frank Lampard has now had to make that change, with Marcos Alonso coming on - so a double blow for Chelsea.

Chelsea have responded well to going one down. They have another corner here but Adrian just about punches it clear.

Liverpool try to counter with Mo Salah but he runs it out of play under pressure from Marcos Alonso.

    Arsenal 0-0 Aston Villa

It's good work from Nicolas Pepe who gets a cross away on the right and it's headed back into the centre by Sead Kolasinac.

It bounces off Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's shin before he knows anything about it and bobbles into the keeper's arms.
