  1. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Hearts 0-0 Ross County

Substitute Brian Graham drills it low, the keeper goes off the wrong way, but the ball thumps the base of the post.

Michael Gardyne is first to the rebound but his rising strike clips the outside of the same upright.

    Agony for the Staggies!

  2. PENALTY TO ROSS COUNTYpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Hearts 0-0 Ross County

Marcus Fraser is bundled over by Aidy White. The Hearts full-back looks to be struggling but Hearts have used all three substitutes.

This may prove to be the commentator’s curse, but Accies still look comfortable despite playing with a man fewer. I’ve been hugely impressed by Lewis Smith, who reminds me of a young James McCarthy on first sight.

  5. CLOSE!published at 16:31 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Hearts 0-0 Ross County

Ross Stewart has his hands on his head, he can't believe he's not put Ross County ahead. The striker drifts off Craig Halkett and controls a long ball, but his shot flies narrowly over the bar.

A suggestion of handball as the forward controlled but the whistle never came. How many chances are County going to pass up this afternoon?

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:28 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Hamilton 2-0 Kilmarnock

Substitute Innes Cameron almost makes an immediate impact for Kilmarnock, but his close-range header is brilliantly kept out by Owain Fon Williams' one-handed save.

  8. Postpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Hamilton 2-0 Kilmarnock

The visitors are going for it now against 10 men, with striker Innes Cameron introduced after a head knock for grizzly defender Kirk Broadfoot.

  10. CLOSE!published at 16:19 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Heats 0-0 Ross County

Billy Mckay's cross finds a lunging Ross Stewart but goalie Zdenek Zlamal is out to smother the shot and save Hearts. Promoted Ross County are seriously impressing this afternoon.

  11. CLOSE!published at 16:18 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Hamilton 2-0 Kilmarnock

The visitors are pressing hard to try to get back into the game and Liam Millar is inches from pulling a goal back. Chris Burke drils the ball across the face of the goal and the on-loan Liverpool striker just fails to make contact at the back post for a tap in.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Hearts 0-0 Ross County

Ooft! Michael Gardyne's cross from the left loops over Zdenek Zlamal and it comes off the inside of the post just under the crossbar. Ross County are threatening again at Tynecastle.

  14. RED CARDpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Hamilton 2-0 Kilmarnock

The home side are down to 10 men as Brian Easton is sent packing for wiping out Liam Millar.

There was a long delay before referee Bobby Madden reached for his red card, perhaps he was getting some information from his assistants. Anyhoo, correct decision after an ugly challenge, no doubt about it.

  17. Hearts withdraw Naismithpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Hearts 0-0 Ross County

A blow for Hearts as Steven Naismith goes off at half-time. He'd had a quiet half but we can only assume it's a fitness issue. A tad worrying after the amount of time he spent on the treatment table last season. Jake Mulraney is on.

  18. goal

GOAL Hamilton 2-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    George Oakley

Kilmarnock's defence posted is missing as Hamilton break up the park. Livewire Lewis Smith is involved in the goal, unsurprisingly, with his shot from the edge of the area steered into the net by George Oakley.

    FT: Motherwell 2-5 Celtic

A row flared up between Celtic winger Scott Sinclair and a member of the Fir Park ground staff after the Scottish Premiership leaders' 5-2 win.

The fallout - which lasted all of about 10 seconds and well after the match had finished - occurred after the groundsman and Sinclair exchanged words over the winger being on the pitch.

The pair were held back by colleagues before Motherwell chief executive Alan Burrows stepped in to help calm the situation.

Classic Scottish football handbags. No handshakes though as the warring duo swiftly went their separate ways.
