Boli Bolingoli looks unsettled at left-back for Celtic. He's given the ball away a few times already and now he puts Scott Bain under pressure with a needless pass back to the keeper, who has to hack clear as Christopher Long comes sliding in.

Celtic don't waste any time responding, with Kristoffer Ajer galloping up the park with the ball from inside his own half before exchanging passes with James Forrest and slipping a shot beyond the advancing Mark Gillespie.
Very impressive from the big Norwegian defender but Motherwell will be asking how he was able to travel so far.
Liam Donnelly
Centre-half Declan Gallagher is playing like an overlapping left-back as he pops up to head a long, diagonal pass from Liam Polworth into the path of Liam Donnelly. The midfielder has time to take a touch on the edge of the box and he pings a low shot inside the post.
Scott Bain was a bit slow getting down there and looks very disappointed with himself.

Motherwell continue to press, with most of the early action taking place inside the Celtic half.
Declan Gallagher stoops awkwardly to get his head on a Liam Polworth corner but can only steer the ball over the top.

A huge punt up the park from Celtic goalie Scott Bain drops on the foot of Leigh Griffiths right on the edge of the home penalty box. The striker's touch is good but he doesn't get a shot away in time as Charles Dunne steps in to clear.

Motherwell are pressing very high in numbers and Christopher Jullien takes a risk with a pass-back to keeper Scott Bain, who takes the ball for a run down the byline rather than hoofing it clear.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon tells BBC Sportsound: "We have quality players going out and quality coming in and itching to play. It's a big month ahead and it's important we try to find balance.
"Jozo Simunovic is suspended and Hatem Abd Elhamed unfit and Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard put a lot into the Cluj game.
"Christopher Jullien has had to be patient due to the form of the others and just getting up to speed. It's a big day for him, but he has a good mentality and is looking forward to it.
"Leigh Griffiths is doing very well. He's scoring goals and looking a lot leaner. There's a hunger about him as he's missed a lot of football. He scores goals that others can't."

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "We're always confident on our own pitch but we know we need 11 to turn up and be right on top of their game today.
"We've got a lot of new players settling in, learning their roles, and there's still a lot of improvement to come.
"Our front three are quick and direct, so hopefully we can cause Celtic problems.
"My remit is to stay in the league but my aim is to finish much higher than that."

Having built the hosts up, it also has to be pointed our that Motherwell are without a win in 11 league games with Celtic (D3 L8) since beating them 2-1 in December 2015 under manager Mark McGhee.

Motherwell have a better home record than most against Celtic in recent times. The past three tussles with the champions have ended all square, with Danny Johnson finding an 88th-minute equaliser for the hosts in the most recent of those games, back in December 2018.
Celtic needed an even later goal to earn their last win at Fir Park, with Tom Rogic firing home in stoppage-time for a dramatic 4-3 success.
In 2019 Motherwell have only lost once at home - to Rangers.

Celtic raked in a Scottish record £25m from the sale of Kieran Tierney and the manager will be itching to spend a good chunk of that.
He has already signed defenders Christopher Jullien, Boli Bolingoli and Hatem Abd Elhamed this summer.
