Every time City have possession I've had a look at Caroline Weir since scoring that goal and she is screaming for that ball.

A change for Brighton who replace Kayleigh Green with Uni Umotong.

Bristol City have also made a switch too with Ebony Salmon on for Vita van der Linden.

That goal has turned a switch. Caroline Weir is really starting to show her quality now. She's just evaded several challenges in midfield with nifty footwork and was urged to shoot from the edge of the box but chose to pass it off. There's excitement from the crowd when she touches the ball too!

She will continue, but Casey Stoney makes her first change with Lotta Oqvist making way for Amy Turner.

Caroline Weir is causing United's defence all sorts of problems right now.

She has the ball on a string, jinks past one defender and slides by the next before her pass infield is eventually cut off.

What a fantastic effort, it was a clearance from Manchester United but Weir picks it up just outside the box and it's a driven shot across the goal to the far corner and Mary Earps just couldn't get across to it.

What a finish and what a start to the second half for Manchester City!

Man City taking the lead is very much how this game was scripted to go, so it will be interesting to see how Manchester United, the newcomers who have been so impressive so far, now react.

WOW. That's a stunning strike from Caroline Weir, who pounced on a mistake from new Manchester United captain Katie Zelem. The Scotland international is prone to screamers but this one, in the first WSL Manchester derby, will be remembered for a long time.

It's a really good 0-0 so far, some good technical stuff but the better team has been Manchester United.

Millie Turner heads wide from a Katie Zelem free-kick just before the break, and that just about sums up the first 45 minutes at Etihad Stadium. Newly promoted Manchester United have created the better chances against their highly-fancied hosts.

We will have three minutes of injury time at the end of the first half. Both sides still look like they fancy forcing an opener before the break.
