Spurs getting better by the minute, Dele Alli now lacing a shot over from 20 yards. Always rising but he caught it really nicely.

I don't think I've seen Spurs' three attacking midfield players rotate as much as they have in this first half. Eriksen's out on the right now, Alli's drifted over to the left and Moura's in behind - they're changing all the time. I think it's something they're really working on tonight.

  4. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 40 mins

    Olympiakos 0-2 Tottenham

Good from Harry Kane on the left of the box to drive into the box and put a ball across, it's half cleared and Dele Alli then goes down under a highish challenge.

The referee gives a foul against Alli. Not sure what that could be for other than a dive? But the former MK Dons man wasn't booked.

Credit to the home fans, they’re still very excitable and are probably wondering how they’re two nil down. Tottenham two shots on target, two goals.

    Olympiakos 0-2 Tottenham

Olympiakos coach Pedro Martins looks frustrated, as may he well be. His side have played as well as he could have hoped, to be honest, but they trail by two goals. That extra Premier League clout in terms of £$£$£$ has made all the difference in the final 20 yards tonight.

Giorgos Masouras ends another good move with a hopeful chip/clip to the far post but Hugo Lloris can watch it go.

Dave Payn: To quote Alan Partridge, that......was a goal.

Josh Earl: Brilliant strike from Lucas Moura. Great start for Spurs at a tough, hostile place to go!

Aswin Krishna: Fantastic shot from Lucas Moura. Out of nowhere, Tottenham have taken a two goal healthy lead. Let's bet on them winning comfortably now.

    Olympiakos 0-2 Tottenham

Tottenham have won a penalty in five of their last six games in all competitions in September. A good habit to get into.

Spurs have had two efforts on goal and nailed them both. Olympiakos have had nine but Hugo Lloris has only had to make three saves, and none of them were too taxing.

This is the difference, this is what has been putting Spurs up there in the Champions League. When they have an opportunity, they take it. They've got the quality in the team, with finishing like that, to hurt teams like Olympiakos. 2-0 at this stage, given how the play has gone, is just remarkable really.

Proper Champions League nous here from Spurs. Not playing well, they've silenced a hostile crowd and moved two goals ahead with the minimum of fuss.

Olympiakos have a sight of goal but Giorgos Masouras can only shin a volley over the top. That's the difference.

That all came from Ben Davies. He stepped in front of Podence, nicked the ball and played a smart pass into the middle of the pitch. Lucas Moura just gets the ball out of his feet and with his right foot it's a very clean strike to the goalkeeper's right. Real power and precision.

Clinical! Absolutely brilliant goal from the big-game player Lucas Moura. Tottenham have weathered that storm and now have a very handy two-goal lead.

Ben Davies steps in to cut out a square pass and drive forwards before picking out Lucas in the middle, about 25 yards out. He takes a touch, the ball takes a bit of a bobble so he just waits momentarily for it to settle and then absolutely clumps a shot past Jose Sa and in.

    Fantastic goal.

I can't understand what Yassine Meriah was thinking. He'd made the block tackle, the ball had almost popped away. Harry Kane wasn't actually in possession of it and he just kicked out.

It looked harsh. But what I will say is right at the end, when the ball looked like it was escaping Harry Kane, Yassine Meriah just threw his leg out a bit, very late. I don't know if there was any contact but it was almost a kick out from him.

Now then, can Tottenham kick on from that? Harry Kane now has been involved in 16 goals in 15 Champions League group games. Phenomenal.

Matthieu Valbuena looks for an instant response for Olympiakos but his 25-yarder is always heading over.
