Olympiakos have shown a bit of everything so far. They've been in control of the ball at times and look like they can counter-attack.

And Mathieu Valbuena's really impressed me. He's got a real touch of class - timing, movement and vision.

Daniel Podence is 23 and he's bossing this game. The Olympiakos 10 looks top class.

Tom McQuillin: Has someone told the Spurs players they're not allowed to run? Such a slow start... borderline lazy!

A let-off for sure. Davinson Sanchez then shows his limitations as a full-back, wasting a routine pass inside for Christian Eriksen.

Mauricio Pochettino was punching the air in frustration at that chance.

It was a fantastic passage of play by Olympiakos, a brilliant counter-attack. Two great opportunities to score.

Unlucky! Olympiakos so close to going ahead and it's a moment of real class from Daniel Podence.

A cross comes in from the left, Podence chest passes the ball on one more to Miguel Angel Guerrero on his right, his shot beats Hugo Lloris but skips back off the inside of the post.

Guilherme is then first to the loose ball but can only spank a shot over the top.

When Olympiakos clear the [defensive] line comes up nice, they squeeze the ball and put pressure on Tottenham when they need to. They look very organised out of possession and have started well.

Shoddy! Yassine Meriah plays the ball inside and only finds Christian Eriksen, Spurs have a three-on-three break on the cards but Olympiakos get back around him quickly and force an errant touch. He's better than that.

Mauricio Pochettino has seen enough to step out onto the sideline.

Calmly done by the hosts who are pressed but play out from their own penalty area with no worries. Good feet from keeper Jose Sa.

The hosts then attack down their left but are shuffled inside and the danger has gone. Tanguy Ndombele wins it back for Spurs and Guilherme is booked for chopping him down.

Harsh.

There have been a lot of loose passes from Spurs. And that's what's going to quieten this crowd down. If they can have a good spell of possession it'll dampen the tempo of the game.

A tricky first 10 for Tottenham.

Shoddy from Tanguy Ndombele, gifting the ball away in a dangerous area. The lively Daniel Podence runs in on the Spurs backline but his shot is tame.

The problem for Olympiakos is that I don't think they've got too much pace in the middle. Daniel Podence is quite lively out wide but Miguel Guerrero's not really known for his pace. If they get a turnover and slide the ball in behind, Guerrero's not going to outpace Alderweireld or Vertonghen so they're going to have to come up with something different.

There shouldn't be any complaints about the surface for Tottenham tonight. Certainly well-watered before kick-off.

Bet the players would like the sprinklers left on - it's pretty steamy over there, by all accounts.

Harry Winks gets on the ball, looking to set a tempo for Spurs but the move breaks down and Olympiakos can counter. The diminutive Daniel Podence gets into the area and cracks in a shot but it's routine for Hugo Lloris.

A good old-fashioned whistling greets the first spell of Spurs possession, Christian Eriksen should have a free-kick as he's tripped on halfway but the referee waves it on.

Davinson Sanchez is indeed playing at right-back. Tony Pulis would approve.
