    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

That howler by Ederson has woken a few people up at the Etihad.... it didn't stop him charging out of his area again just now, with his clearance (this time) bringing huge cheers from the home fans.

At the other end, City striker Gabriel Jesus is having a much quieter time, with only two touches in the first 15 minutes - the fewest of any player on the pitch.

    Man City 0-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Earlier in the game, the ball was played into the same area and I expected Ederson to go out to it but he didn't. I just wonder if he is not quite right because he is usually so good with his feet.

  5. CLOSE!published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2019

    Man City 0-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

    Where's Ederson going???

A long punt from Shakhtar into the Manchester City half and the home goalkeeper comes steaming way off his line but misses his kick.

It allows Mateus Tete to charge into the box unchallenged from the right-hand side, but then sees his low shot blocked on the line by Fernandinho's slide.

A Shakhtar player was free, why didn't Tete pass it?!

Kevin de Bruyne is finding that pocket in the number 10 position and he has picked it up five or six times. You just know he is going to have a major impact in this game.

It was coming, it really was.

    Olympiakos' bright start pays dividends.

It is shocking defending from Danny Rose, scuffing a long clearance into the path of Youssef El-Arabi.

The striker shifts the ball onto his left leg 25 yards out and smacks a finish into the bottom corner. Should Paulo Gazzaniga have done better?

Work to do for Jose Mourinho in his first home game in charge.

Banks of photographers to greet Jose Mourinho but nothing in the way of an official introduction to the crowd - in fact all very low-key.
