Jose Mourinho takes his seat for his first home fixture as Spurs manager against Olympiakos tonight and he has made a promise to supporters in his programme notes.

He writes: "I think it is something our fans know again that wherever I have worked the one thing that I can always promise is passion. Passion for my job and our club and I know the players feel the same. We will give everything so that we can bring happiness to everyone who loves Tottenham Hotspur."

Jose Mourinho loves reminding us of his successes in this competition. He said before the game:

"I love the competition as much as everyone in football. Not everyone has the privilege of being a Champions League winner.

"I have done it two times and would love to add a third."

Thought he had become the 'humble one'?

    Tottenham v Olympiakos

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho makes only one small change from their 3-2 win over West Ham. Ben Davies is injured so Danny Rose comes in at left-back.

That means Christian Eriksen is on the bench again, alongside Tanguy Ndombele - who returns from injury.

Olympiakos make four changes from their 1-1 draw at the weekend, with former Hull loanee Omar Elabdellaoui among the quartet to come in.

Tottenham Hotspur: Gazzaniga, Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Rose, Dier, Winks, Lucas Moura, Alli, Son, Kane. Subs: Vertonghen, Sissoko, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Eriksen, Ndombele, Austin.

Olympiakos: Jose Sa, Elabdellaoui, Semedo, Meriah, Tsimikas, Camara, Guilherme, Bouchalakis, Daniel Podence, El Arabi, Giorgos Masouras. Subs: Benzia, Guerrero, Allain, Valbuena, Papadopoulos, Torosidis, Randjelovic.

Jose Mourinho, Tottenham Hotspur manager. Still feels really weird.

The Portuguese, who won the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan, takes charge of Spurs for the first time in this competition today.

Can he go one better than Mauricio Pochettino did last season?

All four Premier League teams could secure qualification for the knockout stage of the Champions League this week.

Bayern Munich, Juventus and Paris St-Germain are the teams already through to the last 16 with two group games to play.

This is what the two English side need to progress tonight:

    • Tottenham: Will go through from Group B if they beat Olympiakos on Tuesday, or if they draw and Red Star Belgrade fail to beat Bayern Munich.
    • Manchester City: A win against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday would put City through as winners of Group C. A draw would also guarantee a last-16 spot.

Four English teams reached the Champions League quarter-finals last season and two went all the way to the final.

Tonight, Premier League champions Manchester City and last season's European Cup runners-up Tottenham have the opportunity to make the knockout stages once more.

    Can they complete the job?
