No national anthem controversy today. In their reverse meeting, the French stadium announcer played Andorra's instead of Albania's.

This game has been delayed because of all the new stadium ceremony.

This is the first game at the new Air Albania Stadium. There has been a whole ceremony beforehand with musicians I don't recognise.

France need a win in Albania to be sure of winning Group H, which would give them a chance of being among the top seeds.

If they lose then Turkey will finish top, presuming they beat Andorra.

England goalkeeper Nick Pope on BBC Radio 5 Live: "I knew I was on a couple of days ago so it was a quick rush to get my family tickets for the game and flights. I have had a massive smile on my face ever since. It feels like a long time ago when I last came on for England. Tonight has been another level."

On Kosovo: "I think they have shown that there is a real quality in their team and they will only grow. It was a fantastic atmosphere, it was a great reception and it was great to be a part of."

    Kosovo 0-4 England

More from Gareth Southgate on ITV...

On the aftermath of the Raheem Sterling-Joe Gomez clash: "You work through any difficulties you might have and the group have done that really well. I think we come out of it stronger frankly."

On how the squad is coming together: "It's hard to leave experienced players out. I think we're further ahead in being more settled with the group but there is really good competition and we wanted to learn things tonight and I think we did."

  14. 'On another night chances would be a problem'published at 19:14 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

    Kosovo 0-4 England

England manager Gareth Southgate to ITV: "It was a tight game and a good test for us really. It was a difficult pitch, with players slipping and passes going astray.

"We needed a tighter game and a challenge. I'm happy we got that. We had to sustain spells of pressure and gave them chances - on another night that would be a problem. But attacking we were ruthless.

"Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, in his stage of returning, he's been a real plus with the power of his running and attacking threat. I thought Harry Winks was excellent in both games and takes the ball well when we need calming.

"The set-plays in particular are something we have to look at. There have been too many people free in the box and chances given away. We know there is still a bit of work to do but I can't fault the players in this campaign, they've been ruthless."

  15. 'We know we can improve'published at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2019

    Kosovo 0-4 England

England captain Harry Kane speaking to ITV: "It was a difficult game, a difficult pitch, they were up for it and we had already won the group so the mentality was not easy to go again. I thought we managed it well, we went through spells where they had pressure but we were clinical and 4-0 is a great result.

"As a striker I want to score goals and to win games. I love scoring, any striker does, hopefully I can keep that going into next summer.

"When you look through our squad everyone pretty much is playing regularly either in the Premier League or top leagues in Europe. If you're not on it every week there are players who can take your spot."

On this international break: "It's two clean sheets, we know we can improve, tonight was difficult and the pitch was poor so it was always going to be difficult. I don't remember Nick Pope making too many saves, but against bigger teams we'll have to make sure we're on it."

On Tottenham team-mate Harry Winks scoring: "I'm delighted for him, he's deserved it. I hope he can continue what he's done here. There's competition everywhere, in that position we have more than enough players - there's loads of competition for places."

Wales will qualify for Euro 2020 if they beat Hungary in Cardiff on Tuesday. They beat Azerbaijan 2-0 in Baku yesterday to set up that winner-takes-all clash.

Northern Ireland and Scotland will be in next year's play-offs, although in different sections do they won't face each other.

The Republic of Ireland will qualify if they beat Denmark in Dublin tomorrow. Otherwise it's the play-offs for them - where they could end up facing Wales or Northern Ireland.
