Not a great evening for the Home Nations.
Wales drew, while Northern Ireland and Scotland both lost.
We are back on Friday to see England in action in the Czech Republic.
Until then.
Slovakia 1-1 Wales
Wales manager Ryan Giggs on Sky Sports: "Could I say enjoyed it, not realy. For a neutral, it was a great game to watch.
"We had the better chances. It could have been different but we were under pressure at times and we stood up well.
"I said before the game we need to be ruthless. It is fine margins, especially in this group. In the next three games we need to put them away. Sunday is a very big game. It will be a great atmosphere so can't wait."
Netherlands 3-1 Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill tells Sky Sports: "We are devastated with the nature of the defeat. I thought we did everything we could to take the lead and they did not cause problems for large periods. The two goals were very cruel in injury-time and a harsh results for us.
"We were delighted to go ahead in the game and knew we would get an opportunity and have to defend for large periods in the game against world class players. It was a case of fatigue and we could not hang on.
"We have to win our two remaining games, they are very difficult, Netherlands home and Germany away. The third goal was avoidable but players making bad decisions because they were out on their feet and it makes the head-to-head against them in the group difficult.
"The team can be very proud of themselves in this group, we are playing against world class players. We are bringing in two players from League One. There has to be a little bit of perspective."
Netherlands 3-1 Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland goalscorer Josh Magennis tells Sky Sports: "Don't let it get our heads down. We knew it would be difficult to get keep to minimal chances but they scored with the ones they got. It is a bitter pill to swallow.
"It was madness, I was thinking happy days, I have scored. l wanted to make an impact off the bench. The place erupted but it was 15-17 minutes of trying to do what we were doing and unfortunately we did not manage to do that and got beaten.
"We have to take massive positives, you look at how they celebrated and they were under massive pressure. To go toe-to-toe wit them, we got the lead but could not hang on. There are multitude of things we could have done better but we were chasing the game late on."
Russia 4-0 Scotland
Scotland had their hopes of automatic Euro 2020 qualification finally extinguished as dominant Russia inflicted a thumping defeat in Moscow.
However, they can still qualify for their first major tournament since 1998 via the Nations League play-offs, which begin in March.

Quote MessageI feel like I've been kicked in the stomach and the teeth after that defeat. I really thought Northern Ireland were on the brink of what would have been one of the greatest results in our history and we are all so gutted to lose it at the end. The players did so well and fought so hard but got nothing in the end.
Netherlands 3-1 Northern Ireland
Memphis Depay now has six goals and six assists in Euro 2020 qualifying for the Netherlands.

That third goal doesn't really matter. For Northern Ireland to take the Netherlands into the second minute of injury time level is great for a team that shouldn't really be able to compete with a side as good as this Dutch one. It's heartbreaking to take, but it is a credit to the Northern Ireland players that they made the Dutch side look so ordinary. They can hold their heads high.
Slovakia 1-1 Wales
A bad night for Wales too, dropping points in Slovakia.
Netherlands 3-1 Northern Ireland
So near yet so far, Northern Ireland lose it in injury-time.
Memphis Depay (90+4 mins)
Another!
Northern Ireland push forward for the equaliser and get caught at the back.
Frenkie de Jong makes a dart towards the opposition penalty area, lays it off for Memphis Depay to roll in his second of the night.
Luke de Jong (90+2 mins)
A late winner for the Dutch!
A cross is flicked on in the box and reached Luke de Jong at the far post.
The former Newcastle player lobs his first effort in the air, goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell dives past the ball and De Jong has an easy tap-in into an open net.
A sickener for the Northern Ireland players and fans.
Oh no....
Netherlands 1-1 Northern Ireland
Memphis Depay looking for his second of the night in injury-time, but lofts a shot over.

The Northern Ireland players need to take every opportunity they get to slow the game down and take their time. I know Bailey Peacock-Farrell has been booked for time wasting but they need to be clever about it.
Slovakia 1-1 Wales
Gareth Bale avoids the second yellow card and hobbles off to take some treatment from the physio.
SIX minutes added on.
Slovakia 1-1 Wales
Wales skipper Gareth Bale, on a yellow card, goes in late on Milan Skriniar.
The two clash knees and the Real Madrid man has not moved after hitting the deck.
This looks a nasty one.
Slovakia 1-1 Wales
Into the final couple of minutes and defender Joe Rodon almost wins it for Wales, but his bicycle kick drifts a yard wide.
Russia 4-0 Scotland
Russia have a fourth goal.
Netherlands 1-1 Northern Ireland
Netherlands should be ahead!
The same combination for the goal, but Memphis Depay turning provider, swinging in a cross into the box which Donyell Malen meets, but heads wide from six yards out.
That is a shocker.
