    Northern Ireland 0-0 Netherlands

A big chance for the Netherlands. Ryan Babel beats Craig Cathcart in the air and his header is saved by Bailey Peacock-Farrell. Cathcart took a whack there but I'm sure it was worth it to put Babel off.

NI are being penned in a bit here. The Dutch are happy to just pass the ball around.

Jack Richardson: Growing up I got used to the Dutch having a really strong offence and an average defence, over time that's switched - De Ligt and Van Dijk protected by De Jong is incredible, but what else do they offer?

You have to give credit to the way Michael O'Neill has set up the team. The two Dutch centre-backs look shaky. I think there has been great performances throughout the NI team, but I will say that Gavin Whyte and Paddy McNair are causing all sorts of problems down the right wing. If Davis had put that penalty away, it would be a different game, but credit to NI.

    Germany 1-0 Belarus

A few half-time stats from a one-sided encounter in Monchengladbach...

Germany have held 76% of possession.

Germany have already taken 23 shots on goal.

Germany have already had seven corners.

    But it's still only 1-0.

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Netherlands

    Richard Petrie

It may be goalless at half-time but it's been an eventful first 45 minutes with Northern Ireland more than holding their own in terms of possession and chances.

The Northern Ireland fans head for the stadium concourse for their half-time refreshments satisfied with their side's performance - but frustrated at that wasteful penalty miss by their normally 'Mr Reliable' skipper Steven Davis.

The Netherlands stay on course for the point they need to secure qualification for the Euro 2020 finals but they are far from 'home and hosed' in this game yet.

Half-time in the other two games we've been discussing. Germany are leading Belarus 1-0 and Slovakia are 1-0 up in Croatia.

An encouraging half from Northern Ireland but it could have been so, so better.

Boos as the Dutch are allowed to take a corner after the 60 seconds of injury time. There is a scare as Bailey Peacock-Farrell loses the ball but he was fouled.

    Germany 1-0 Belarus

Matthias Ginter has just given Germany the lead against Belarus. Which would leave Northern Ireland 100% needing to win this game today.
