Nobody will remember how they played months ago - at the end of the day you have to get the job done and fair play to Ryan Giggs and his players.

  7. CLOSE!published at 83 mins

    Wales 2-0 Hungary

Hungary's marking at set-pieces is winding up Tony Pulis a treat on the radio and you can see why - Chris Mepham is left all alone eight yards out and he puts it wide!

Ryan Giggs isn't best pleased either.

Time to give Bale or Ramsey a rest? Not yet it seems.

  9. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Wales 2-0 Hungary

Hungary need three goals to qualify automatically but they have looked a very, very limited side this evening.

They're still in the play-offs though. Everyone is. Vatican City (a) or Rutland at home I think.

Richard: This is the best we've played since beating Russia in 2016. All 12 Welsh players have been brilliant.

Into the final 20 minutes then. Cardiff has just gone a bit quiet. Nerves? A Hungary goal would certainly ramp up the tension but a corner is well cleared by Chris Mepham.

  15. CLOSE!published at 65 mins

    Wales 2-0 Hungary

Great skills down the right from Gareth Bale, leaving his man behind, before Daniel James does his inverse Robben, cutting in on to his right foot and bending deliciosuly just past the top corner. Superb effort.

People said it wasn't the toughest group for Wales but you have still got to do the job. They started the group poorly but they have their big players back now and just look at the difference.

Gareth Bale is enjoying himself tonight.

  17. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Wales 2-0 Hungary

Speaking of hat-tricks, Aaron Ramsey gets a shot away from the edge of the area but it's well defended in the end.

He'll chase anything, Kieffer Moore, turns a punt downfield into a through ball but after shrugging off a defender he can't get a shot off.
