Anthony Diala: Watching Phil 'Headless Chicken' Jones commit endless fouls and give the ball away is the ultimate test of endurance

Mike Sizzy: These Man United young boys aren't hungry like Ole claims, no sign of hunger in them and they are sluggish, not even close to United first team.

James Milner's goal is one of those when goalkeepers just lose their focus or their concentration for a split second and that's what happens. The greatest goalkeepers in world football have done that. He has to take it on the chin.

Even at 1-0 there's an opportunity for MK to apply some pressure and ask some questions. They haven't really pressured Liverpool into too many errors.

Paul Tisdale will say let's not come off the field without laying a glove on them at all. They're going to need to get 20 to 30 yards further up the pitch to do that.

You've got to be pleased if you're [Rochdale boss] Brian Barry-Murphy - the shape of the team, the way they're trying to engage with their opponents. They've had one or two encouraging moments. They've not been put under too much stress against an outstanding side.

Nightmare for Aaron Morley. What a cross. Paul Pogba has run off the blind shoulder of Morley, who has to do better. It's a gilt-edged opportunity. Aaron has to learn from that.

  7. WHAT A MISS!published at 20:36 British Summer Time 25 September 2019

    Man Utd 0-0 Rochdale

A shocker from Paul Pogba, latching on to Mason Greenwood perfect cross into the box but he heads over from six yards out.

He was totally unmarked and only needed to help it on.

A good point raised by a few of you - Ross Barkley didn't take that penalty for Chelsea after his costly miss in the Champions League. Didn't Frank say that he was the designated taker?

  13. Rojo the goal threat?published at 20:34 British Summer Time 25 September 2019

    Man Utd 0-0 Rochdale

Marcos Rojo has had three efforts on the Rochdale goal so far.

The Argentina defender is not the most obvious Manchester United goal threat.

He has scored twice in over 100 appearances for the club - his last was against Bournemouth in March 2017.

Great strike. It's a really hard hit, driven shot from James Milner. He's quite a long way out and it's something Stuart Moore will feel like he's got to handle. Unfortunately it's slipped through his fingers and he's tried to hook it out but it goes into the side netting.

From what I've seen of Aaron Connolly, which is a half and a bit, he looks like a proper talent for Brighton. The striker wriggles clear in the area and fires against the outside of the post.
