    FT: Hamilton Academical 0-1 Celtic

Hamilton Academical manager Brian Rice tells BBC Radio Scotland: "To lose an early goal against Celtic is bad going, but today I saw my players believing in what we are trying to achieve here, so I take great heart out of that today.

"We knew Celtic would have a lot of possession, but our game plan was to hang in the game for as long as possible.

"In the second half, we knew we would change the formation and try to get back in the game and we tried everything we could. But it's very hard to break Celtic down."

  5. Holt back after 'wee fright'published at 14:42 British Summer Time 14 September 2019

    Rangers v Livingston (15:00)

Livingston manager Gary Holt is back in the dugout at Ibrox after a short stint in hospital.

He admits he had "a wee fright" after being taken to hospital when his blood levels rose to 3,000 times what they should have been.

The 46-year-old ended up with rhabdomyolysis, where skeletal muscle breaks down rapidly, after over-exerting himself in a gym session.

"I'm thankfully on the mend," Holt told BBC Scotland.

"I'll probably be back in the gym pretty soon but not just as hard, but when you go to the toilet and your urine's like red wine, it kind of gives you a wee fright."

Hibs' Paul Heckingbottom hands a debut to new loan signing Jason Naismith at right-back and a full debut to midfielder Meker Hallberg, as he makes four changes to the side that lost 3-0 to Motherwell.

Centre-half Ryan Porteous makes his first Hibs start since picking up a knee injury in January after coming through 90 minutes for Scotland Under-21s.

Defender Tom James is back on the bench after featuring for Hibs' development squad this week, but midfielder Vykintas Slivka is out after returning from Lithuania duty with swelling on his ankle.

  7. A great start - Lennonpublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 14 September 2019

    FT: Hamilton Academical 0-1 Celtic

Celtic manager Neil Lennon tells BBC Radio Scotland: "I’m delighted, it was a really good performance, great win, clean sheet, five wins out of five.

"I can’t ask any more of the players at the moment. We got off to a great start and played brilliantly in the first half.

"It was a brilliant performance and under the circumstances a brilliant win. We dominated the game, Hamilton set their stall out to be very difficult to beat.

"We would have liked the pitch watered, but Hamilton aren’t here to please us.

"I’m absolutely thrilled with the form we are in and we are six points clear as we speak, which is a great start to the season."

  9. Motherwell exceeding expectationspublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 14 September 2019

Heart of Midlothian v Motherwell (15:00)

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson says his side's start to the Premiership season has exceeded his expectations.

Hearts, today's foes, knocked the Steelmen out of the League Cup at Fir Park last month, but Motherwell have since recorded heavy victories over rivals Hamilton Academical and Hibernian, and have seven points from their four league games to date.

"We played too much in front of them, we had about 60% possession without penetrating them," Robinson tells BBC Scotland of the Hearts defeat.

"Hearts played well on the night, they’ve got a big, excellent squad. We can’t be too harsh on that performance, but since then we’ve been very good and I’m sure we’ll be better today."

Heart of Midlothian v Motherwell (15:00)

Hearts manager Craig Levein says he feels "calm", despite a winless start to the league campaign. Hearts beat today's opponents to reach the League Cup quarter-finals at Fir Park last month and Levein has urged his players to deliver attacking, winning football for their expectant home fans.

"I said to the players, I think I’ve been associated with the club 23 years ago and the day I walked in the door, the same demands were put on the players as there are today. Nothing’s changed," he tells BBC Scotland.

"The supporters want to see us playing with aggression and pace, going forward and taking risks and that’s the message today – let’s try and give the supporters what they want to see.

"Uche Ikpeazu has been champing at the bit to get back in the team and I feel he plays better when Steven Maclean is in the team. He manages to give him instructions during the game, which helps."

Livingston manager Gary Holt, back in the dugout for the first time after a health scare that led to six days in hospital, has made only two changes to the side that defeated St Mirren in their last outing.

Midfielder Jamie Brandon and forwards Steven Maclean and Uche Ikpeazu all come in, with the towering forward making his first start since 10 August.

    Aberdeen v St Johnstone (15:00)

Aberdeen's Connor McLennan shone for Scotland Under-21s during the week but only makes the bench for the game against St Johnstone.

Fit-again Shay Logan only makes the bench as well, meaning the Dons go with the same team that beat Ross County.

For St Johnstone, there are first starts for Celtic loanee Anthony Ralston at right-back and Rangers loanee Jason Holt in midfield, while striker Stevie May makes his first start since returning to the club from Aberdeen last month.

They are the only three changes in the team, with Wallace Duffy, Chris Kane, and Liam Craig dropping out - the latter misses today's game through a groin injury.
