You can't get too close to Alfredo Morelos because he's so strong. He rolls the defenders, is in one-v-one and you just fancy him, don't you? He opens up his foot as if he's going to bend it in the far post and then reverses it in to the front post

  9. HALF-TIME Young Boys 0-1 Rangerspublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 3 October 2019

It's all looking good for Rangers as the half-time whistle goes moments after Alfredo Morelos opens the scoring.

The Colombian has had two sights at goal and he made no mistake with the second, which was almost identical to the first.

Steven Gerrard's side have been rarely troubled at the back by a side who have won two Swiss titles in a row.

What were we saying? Borna Barisic plays a fine pass behind the home defence, Alfredo Morelos holds off centre-half Cedric Zesiger and fires past goalkeeper David von Ballmoos.

We need to see more from Borna Barisic and James Tavernier because up until now we've hardly seen anything from them as an attacking force.

Ah, TV replays show it was relatively self-inflicted as Borna Barisic, who has now returned to the action, controlled a pass with his conk as the ball skidded off the artificial surface.

    Young Boys 0-0 Rangers

The game is stopped so Rangers left-back Borna Barisic can receive treatment with blood streaming from his nose.

Not sure how that happened. It's certainly not been a bruising battle so far.

First real sight at goal for Rangers as Borna Barisic's wayward forward pass finds Alfredo Morelos sneaking in behind the home defence, but the striker fires straight at goalkeeper David von Ballmoos.

It has been a poor game in terms of chances. I felt as though Rangers could create something because Young Boys would come out, but they've not been too gung ho

  18. Postpublished at 34mins

    Young Boys 0-0 Rangers

The game has fallen into a bit of a lull. Rangers won't be complaining too much about that.

Again, that Rangers midfield is a really flat three. Out of possession, they're flat and high and they've now been punctured two or three times. They need to do more to protect their back four
