Man City manager Nick Cushing on BT Sport:

"I don't think we created enough during the game and played at the level we know we can to hurt Arsenal.

"We know we need to be better and more clinical to beat teams like that.

"There were periods where we put Arsenal under pressure, but we have to do that for longer periods in games like these.

"One positive was we got Ellen White out on the pitch and she's getting back to fitness, but ultimately we've got to get back on the training pitch and work hard to bounce back from this."

Arsenal manager Joe Montemurro on BT Sport:

"If we think that just beating City and Chelsea beating us is a three-way scenario, we're wrong.

"This is a tough league and it's a marathon, so we know we're going to have to be tough right the way through this season and be on our game.

"We knew this would be a hard-fought game, but the collective effort was good and we kept the shape and the plan throughout.

"Vivianne is great in front of goal as we know, but her work off the ball and build-up play was terrific today and it really made a difference for us."

Spurs are denied the chance to go 3-1 up as Sophie Baggaley saves well, low to her right, to keep out Rachel Furness' spot kick.

Arsenal goalscorer Vivianne Miedema speaking on BT Sport:

"For me, to get on the end of a lovely through ball from Kim Little made it an easy finish for me.

"It was a really close game up until that stage so we knew we had to be patient.

"I think we deserved the win and it's a great feeling to get it and come back from that game against Chelsea."

Player of the match Arsenal midfielder Lia Walti speaking on BT Sport:

"It was a really tough game and we've really worked hard in recent weeks to get this win. It was a top performance.

"It was important to show a reaction after losing to Chelsea."

  17. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 1-2 Tottenhampublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2019

    Kit Graham (64 mins)

.. It's Kit Graham again! Two brilliant goals in as many minutes for the forward.

It's remarkably similar to her equaliser from just moments earlier but this time she bends the ball past Sophie Baggaley.

    Arsenal 1-0 Man City

    MiedemaImage source, Rex Features

    All over in north London.

Arsenal bounce back from defeat by Chelsea and take Man City's unbeaten run off them in the process.

The champions win thanks to Vivianne Miedema's first goal against City and they go top on goal difference as things stand and could well stay there if Chelsea fail to turn that scoreline around at West Ham.

  20. Postpublished at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2019

    Arsenal 1-0 Man City

Georgia Stanway looks like she's wasted Man City's last real chance for an equaliser.

Nice build up play from the visitors but Stanway was caught between two stools trying to dink a ball in or take a shot from the edge of the box.

It goes behind for a goal kick.
