Reflecting on her side's loss at Man Utd at lunchtime, Reading boss Kelly Chambers: “It’s hard because performance-wise I thought we were outstanding. If you watch over the 90 minutes and especially in the second half we were camped in their half.

"That’s the level we are getting to now, you can be on top in games but you have to be more ruthless in front of goal and that was the message to the girls at the end.

"You need to be more clinical in front of goal and if you do that you come away with more points, whether that would have been one or that would have been three."
