Ever tasted jellied eels? Not personally and even as an Essex man, I can't say I'm rushing too either!

Well, West Ham trio Gill Flaherty, Alisha Lehmann and Julia Simic are braver souls than I and they went to an East London diner this week to try some local cuisine ahead of Sunday's game against Chelsea.

Find out how they fared and also how they rate their chances of upsetting the unbeaten Blues later this afternoon.

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

First 10 minutes gone, but we've had no clear sights of goal at either end yet.

Lots of energy and industry and then Vivianne Miedema gets the chance to turn and shoot for Arsenal outside the box, but it's well over the crossbar.

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Intriguing looking battle between Arsenal's Jordan Nobbs and Man City's Jill Scott in the thick of it.

Those two England internationals will be giving little away as Nobbs shows some lovely early skill to ghost past Scott before she recovers well to force the ball out of touch.

Pretty lively start to this one with both sets of players looking to win their respective battles.

A few tasty looking challenges and some misplaced passes as they try to gain an early advantage.

    Man Utd 2-0 Reading

Meanwhile, there it is, it's a third straight league win for Man Utd and they stay fourth in the table, above Everton on goal difference.

Kirsty Hanson and Jess Sigsworth's goals were enough for the newly-promoted Red Devils to see off Reading.

Now our attentions turn to Hertfordshire...

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Glorious sunshine in north London for this one.

  9. WSL 'more competitive than ever' - Beattiepublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2019

Arsenal v Man City (14:30 GMT)

Arsenal's Scotland defender Jen Beattie feels the games between the top sides won't decide the WSL title race this term.

"For me, this league is probably the most competitive it's ever been so I don't necessarily think it's won and lost by one or two fixtures," she told BBC Sport.

"There are so many tough teams in this league. It's the most competitive it's ever been without a shadow of a doubt.

"Every fixture is a top fixture in my opinion. They're all hard games and you can't get complacent in any of them."

While that game has finished, we still have a minute left of normal time plus any stoppage time as well.

But Jess Sigsworth's breakaway goal has surely put the seal on a Man Utd victory now.

    Jess Sigsworth (86 mins)

That settles it! Jackie Groenen threads a brilliantly-weighted ball through to Jess Sigsworth, who times her run perfectly and then has the pace to race away towards the penalty area and the composure to tuck home United's second goal.

Ooof. Jade Moore's corner for the away side clips the top of the crossbar and bounces out. That's the closest they've come to a leveller yet.

  15. Gunners' Beattie on facing her old clubpublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2019

Arsenal v Man City (14:30 GMT)

Ahead of facing her former side, Arsenal's ex-Man City defender Jen Beattie spoke to BBC Sport this week about how her return to the Gunners has been so far, since her summer transfer.

"It's been amazing. There's been so much change so it feels very different in a lot of ways, but in a lot of ways it's really nice as well, seeing some familiar faces," the Scotland centre-back said.

"City have always been a top team and always will be. I have the utmost respect for everyone at that club and I really enjoyed my time there.

"We'll be expecting a really tough game. They're a quality side."

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2019

    Man Utd 1-0 Reading

This is the first ever league meeting between Manchester United and Reading Women. It won't be remembered as a classic, to be honest.

But we could well be about to see Man Utd clock up a third consecutive WSL victory.

We've just had the three shots on target so far - with one for Reading - and the Royals need to up their game now, with 15 minutes left on the clock.

At the other end, Jess Sigsworth hits the side-netting for the home side.

Big early goal in this basement battle.

Birmingham City have it and it's a thundering header from centre-back Kerys Harrop that gets it as she meets a Lucy Staniforth free-kick from the left.

What have Liverpool got in reply?

Fara Williams' free-kick clips the top of the wall and goes over. The corner then comes in towards the near post but it comes to nothing for Reading.

Close for Brighton as they try and claw their way back into this one in the closing stages.

Lea Le Garrec tries a speculative shot from the left corner of the penalty area that nearly curls into the far corner. But, it bounces clear off the top of the crossbar instead for the Seagulls.
