We're off and running with another mouth-watering contest as unbeaten Man City travel to champions Arsenal.

Arsenal's Scotland defender Jen Beattie feels the games between the top sides won't decide the WSL title race this term.

"For me, this league is probably the most competitive it's ever been so I don't necessarily think it's won and lost by one or two fixtures," she told BBC Sport.

"There are so many tough teams in this league. It's the most competitive it's ever been without a shadow of a doubt.

"Every fixture is a top fixture in my opinion. They're all hard games and you can't get complacent in any of them."

Everton end a run of back-to-back defeats while Brighton are still searching for their first league victory this season.

Chloe Kelly and Esme Morgan with the goals for the hosts.

Brighton have pressed for a goal in these closing stages, but nothing has fallen for them really.

Ahead of facing her former side, Arsenal's ex-Man City defender Jen Beattie spoke to BBC Sport this week about how her return to the Gunners has been so far, since her summer transfer.

"It's been amazing. There's been so much change so it feels very different in a lot of ways, but in a lot of ways it's really nice as well, seeing some familiar faces," the Scotland centre-back said.

"City have always been a top team and always will be. I have the utmost respect for everyone at that club and I really enjoyed my time there.

"We'll be expecting a really tough game. They're a quality side."

This is the first ever league meeting between Manchester United and Reading Women. It won't be remembered as a classic, to be honest.

But we could well be about to see Man Utd clock up a third consecutive WSL victory.

We've just had the three shots on target so far - with one for Reading - and the Royals need to up their game now, with 15 minutes left on the clock.

At the other end, Jess Sigsworth hits the side-netting for the home side.

Fara Williams' free-kick clips the top of the wall and goes over. The corner then comes in towards the near post but it comes to nothing for Reading.

Close for Brighton as they try and claw their way back into this one in the closing stages.

Lea Le Garrec tries a speculative shot from the left corner of the penalty area that nearly curls into the far corner. But, it bounces clear off the top of the crossbar instead for the Seagulls.
