Kayleigh Green almost puts them ahead but it's a smart save by the feet of Everton keeper Tinja-Riikka Korpela to deny her from the edge of the box.

Brighton's first real decent move from back to front all half.

There are just a few minutes left until half-time now and the Red Devils still have a slender advantage.

The hosts' youngster Lauren James weaves in to the penalty area brilliantly but her poked ball across the box is booted clear by the Royals.

Brooke Chaplen does brilliantly to win the ball back and just about keep it in play, but then from a tight angle she goes for goal alone and her effort flies over the bar, when she perhaps had better options in the middle of the box if she'd squared it.

Reading are causing the hosts a few problems though.

Few more chances starting to be created in this one as we approach the break.

Danielle Bowman has gone close for Brighton with a shot from distance while at the other end, Inessa Kaagman's floated cross almost crept in beyond an outstretched Megan Walsh in the Albion goal.

And now the physios are on again, with Reading keeper Grace Moloney down hurt after a collision with Katie Zelem.

Moloney was clearing the ball with a punt upfield and I'd say that should probably have been spotted as a foul by Zelem. She was a bit late on the keeper.

The game at Leigh Sports Village is back under way and thankfully Lisa-Marie Utland is OK. It looks like she'll be carrying on but with some cotton wool in one of her nostrils!

Very quiet start to this game in the first 10 minutes but the hosts looking the more likely.

Everton's Hannah Cain should have done better when played through on goal but her effort from the edge of the box goes tamely wide of the target.

Inessa Kaagman has also had a sight of goal too, but couldn't quite curl one on target for the Toffees.

There have been quite a few unfortunate clashes of heads so far and the latest sees Reading's Lisa-Marie Utland down in pain.

There's a pause while the Norway star receives some treatment.

Reading are getting stuck in early on and they force the game's first corner, which is headed clear by the hosts.

Man Utd's Leah Galton - one of the league's most in-form players - immediately gets in to the area and forces a save out of Grace Moloney from close range.

And we're off and running in sunny Southport too for this one.

Pitch looks decent as well despite all the recent rain.
