McGinn is in the right position to take advantage of the slip up. McTominay has got to take credit - he makes a good run down the left channel, took a spin and then drove it across the box and the goalkeeper should be making a better save. It's a decent goal for Scotland.

It fell just perfectly for him. Despite not being the best cross, it got to McGinn and, more importantly, he got it into the back of the net

    John McGinn

If there were doubts about whether John McGinn got the first goal, there's none about his part in the second.

Scott McTominay's low cross takes a deflection and is palmed away by Aldo Junior Simoncini.

It's straight to McGinn, who fires low past the prone goalkeeper.

By kick-off the crowd was actually a respectable size and they are enjoying what they’re seeing so far, albeit they might have seen at least a couple more goals with a bit of luck and/or conviction.

Steve Clarke appears to have ordered his players to go out and really try to put San Marino to the sword.

We're playing at the right tempo and the right pace. We're not giving San Marino a breather. We're getting it to the right players. Christie with the right touch and shot. It probably needed the touch from McGinn

    John McGinn

Talking of that man Ryan Christie, the Celtic midfielder curls a low drive come cross into the six-yard box and John McGinn flicks out a boot and it goes in off the far post.

It is questionable whether the Aston Villa midfielder got a touch, but he's claiming it and the SFA website is giving it to him too!
