    Blackburn 2-1 Huddersfield

This game has just completely changed since that Tommy Elphick mistake allowed Blackburn to score an equaliser in the 20th minute.

Town have had next to nothing since then and, right now, they're just holding on for half-time.

  2. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 2-1 Huddersfieldpublished at 32 mins

    Bradley Dack

    Now Blackburn have their second!

Bradley Johnson plays the ball into Lewis Holtby on the edge of the area and the German just lets the ball bounce off him to allow Bradley Dack to run in and whip in a lovely low curled effort that Kamil Grabara in the Huddersfield goal has no chance with.

The hosts have turned it around!

    Blackburn 1-1 Huddersfield

Close to a second for Blackburn and close to a second for Lewis Holtby!

Bradley Johnson slides in a lovely pass behind the Town defence but Holtby screws his shot just past Kamil Grabara's far post.

  4. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Blackburn 1-1 Huddersfield

Brief stoppage here as Huddersfield winger Adama Diakhaby goes down off the ball needing a bit of treatment.

Town will really hope they can get him patched up because every time he's got running with the ball Blackburn have panicked.

  5. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-1 Huddersfieldpublished at 20 mins

    Lewis Holtby

What on earth is Tommy Elphick doing?!

My word, that is... That's not good.

A goal-kick is played to Elphick on the edge of the area and he tries a square pass across his own goal that's intercepted.

The ball is worked to Bradley Dack and he shows good composure to hit a low cross that Lewis Holtby can hardly miss.

  6. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Blackburn 0-1 Huddersfield

It could be a long day for Rovers skipper Elliott Bennett up against Adama Diakhaby.

The makeshift left-back got away with a late foul on the Frenchman in the first few minutes but he's now conceded a penalty and the direct running and searing pace of the former Monaco man has made for an uncomfortable first 17 minutes.

  8. PENALTY: Huddersfieldpublished at 12 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Huddersfield

Adam Diakhaby is up against two men on the byline and one way or another, he's brought down by Blackburn's left-back Elliott Bennett.

    Penalty for Town.

  9. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Huddersfield

Worth noting that Blackburn are playing without a targetman today.

Danny Graham, who has just one goal in 11 games this season, has been dropped to the bench with Rovers operating with three players in behind lone striker Adam Armstrong.

The former Newcastle man has scored in his past two appearances but, at five foot eight inches, he's not going to pose much of a threat in the air.

  10. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Huddersfield

No clear chances in the opening exchanges.

Blackburn looking to keep the ball moving quickly when they can but Huddersfield doing well to limit their forward passing options.

  12. Owls miss chance to swoop in on top spotpublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 19 October 2019

    FT: Cardiff 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday

    Lee TomlinImage source, Rex Features

Sheffield Wednesday were denied top spot in the Championship by Lee Tomlin's late leveller for Cardiff on Friday night.

The Owls, who had taken the lead through Julian Borner's strike, needed to win by two goals to climb to the summit of the second tier but Tomlin's free-kick meant they had to settle for a point.

That was enough to move them up to sixth, while Cardiff remain 11th.

Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray has made five changes to the side that fell to a 4-2 defeat at QPR last time out. Former Germany international Lewis Holtby comes in for his first start for the club.

Unsurprisingly, after seven points from their past three games, Huddersfield are unchanged from their 3-0 win over Hull City.

Blackburn XI: Walton, Nyambe, Williams, Adarabioyo, Bennett, Travis, Johnson, Dack, Holtby, Downing, Armstrong.

Huddersfield XI: Grabara; Simpson, Schindler, Elphick, O’Brien; Hogg; Diakhaby, Chalobah, Brown, Kachunga; Grant.
