League One side AFC Wimbledon have appointed caretaker boss Glyn Hodges as their new permanent manager.

The ex-Wales midfielder, 56, has been in charge since Wally Downes was suspended by the club last month, after being charged by the Football Association over bets placed on games.

Downes left the Dons on Sunday, two days after being given a four-week FA suspension for admitting the charge.

Hodges won four of his six matches in temporary charge, leaving Wimbledon 21st in League One, one point from safety.

Fleetwood will be going third as things stand - Paddy Madden's tap-in has them in front against Coventry.

They're playing 12 minutes of added time at the end of the first half between Peterborough and Accrington, which is still goalless. Stanley substitute Joe Maguire was down for some time receiving treatment for an injury and had to be carried off on a stretcher.
