  1. No love lost in Lancashirepublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

    Preston v Blackburn (15:00 BST)

Preston were only a late Eddie Nketiah goal away from climbing up to second in midweek.

As it was, their late draw with Leeds means they start today's Lancashire derby with Blackburn in sixth position after just one win from their past five league games.

However, Lilywhites boss Alex Neil has a 100% record against Rovers in four games against them as Preston manager.

Rovers' recent form will also give home fans reason to be confident as they come into today's clash without a win in their past five matches.

But you know what they say about form and derbies...

Bad to worse for the Pilgrims.

Jack Taylor's 30-yard shot comes off the post and Nicky Law slots home the rebound.

    Huddersfield v Barnsley (15:00 BST)

Is October too early in the season to call a game a relegation six-pointer?

    Yes, probably.

Nonetheless, Huddersfield's home game against managerless Barnsley has more at stake than just all-important Yorkshire bragging rights.

The Terriers are unbeaten in four after an awful start to the season but start today's game in the relegation zone, two points and two places above their opponents.

The Tykes are without a win since the opening day and blew a two-goal lead at high-flying West Brom on Tuesday.

West Brom have made an excellent start to the season under Slaven Bilic and will go four points clear at the top with victory today.

They recovered from 2-0 down to claim a point in a 2-2 draw with Barnsley on Tuesday.

Bilic had hoped to add veteran midfielder Gareth Barry to his squad but the deal has been held up by a clause in the initial contract he signed with the club when he joined from Everton in August 2017.

The Baggies host a Charlton side who suffered a late, late defeat by 10-man Bristol City on Wednesday.

    Nottingham Forest P-P Reading

The eagle eyed among you may have noticed Forest against Reading has been postponed.

The officials made the decision just after midday following almost 24 hours of torrential rain in the East Midlands.

It's one of six games in the EFL to have fallen victim to the weather.

GOAL: Exeter 3-0 Plymouthpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

    Randell Williams (67 mins)

Exeter look like they are moving to second in the League Two table.

Randell Williams adds a third with a nice chip over Pilgrims keeper Alex Palmer after a very good passing move.

    Honours even.

The first goalless draw between these Yorkshire rivals since 1969.

Both teams came came close, Steven Fletcher smashing an effort against the bar for the hosts and Ezgjan Alioski hitting the post for Leeds.

They stay second, Wednesday remain third.

  9. Postpublished at 90+2 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

Barry Bannan hangs a free-kick up but it's too close to Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla and he gathers easily.

  10. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

We're into three minutes of stoppage time.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 89 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

Kieran Lee is in the book for a very cynical pull on Eddie Nketiah's shirt as the Leeds striker wriggled away from him 35 yards from goal.

  12. Postpublished at 87 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

Leeds make a right old mess of clearing the ball 18 yards out and the ball comes to Barry Bannan, who has a great shot on him.

Not this time though as he slices an effort well, well wide.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

Joey Pelupessy makes way for Kieran Lee for the hosts.

Pelupessy has had a busy day in the Wednesday midfield, especially give he was a late call to the starting XI after Julian Borner got an injury in the warm up.

The Owls then bring on the diminutive Fernando Forestieri for the, er, less diminutive Atdhe Nuhiu.

  14. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

Great work out on the left by Kadeem Harris and his curling effort is tipped away by Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.

The Spaniard then saves well from Atdhe Nuhiu from the corner and Leeds thump it clear.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 80 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

Ezgjan Alioski heads it against the post for Leeds!

The Macedonia international gets up brilliantly but he can only divert his header against the woodwork.

Moments earlier Jack Harrison saw an effort cleared of the line by the Owls defence.

Could we be in for some late drama in this Yorkshire derby.

    Tom Parkes (49 mins)

Exeter extend the lead in the Devon derby as Tom Parkes glances a header home from Randell Williams' floated free-kick.

It's a uphill task now for Plymouth.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

    Interesting one here.

Leeds take off forward Helder Costa for centre-half Liam Cooper.

  18. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

And just like that Leeds create their best chance of the half!

Sub Eddie Nketiah shows good footwork and composure to bring the ball inside and hit a powerful shot at Keiren Westwood's near post but the Owls keeper stands up well to it.

  19. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

Sheffield Wednesday have been far more enterprising this half and they'll be disappointed not to have a goal to show for their efforts.

Victory today would see them leapfrog Leeds to go second.

  20. Postpublished at 69 mins

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

    Still no goals here.

The last 0-0 draw between these two sides came in 1969.

I don't know if that's tempting fate or just pointing out a fact. We'll see.
