Wonderful, wonderful ball across the face of goal by Wednesday skipper Barry Bannan.

His wicked delivery from the left goes all the way to striker Steven Fletcher at the back post but he can't connect cleanly with it and sends it back across goal and Leeds clear.

Adam Reach tries to catch Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla out by taking his shot early after being played in on goal by Barry Bannan.

It goes well wide but nice invention from the Owls duo.

So, the home side have the lead at the break through Nicky Law's penalty late in the half.

It's been a game of few chances but that was a perfect time for a goal.

What have Plymouth got in response after the break?

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

Brief stoppage here as Joey Pelupessy needs a bit of treatment after being caught in the face by an elbow from Leeds striker Eddie Nketiah.

Was definitely accidental but that'll be little consolation to Pelupessy.

    He's back on.

Leeds have not got going yet this half.

Can Sheffield Wednesday capitalise on the pressure they've created since the break?

Leeds work the ball back to Kalvin Phillips just over 20 yards from goal but his well-hit shot flies past Keiren Westwood's post.

Good start to the half. More of this.

Leeds, and Eddie Nketiah, get us back under way.

The Arsenal loanee has come on up front for Patrick Bamford.

He scored after coming off the bench in the midweek draw at Preston, can he make it two in two?

Paul: The Devon Expressway is the road that links Plymouth and Exeter. Otherwise known as the A38 but that doesn't sound as good.

Thanks for clearing that up Paul. The A38 derby - yeah, pretty rubbish.

The good news is, we've lost no more fixtures to the weather during that opening half at Hillsborough.

Just a reminder that six have been called off in the EFL so far, including Nottingham Forest against Reading in the Championship.

A foul, foul, day out there though as the players begin to arrive at the grounds.

    Exeter 0-0 Plymouth

Typical derby so far, no real chances or flow to the game.

Still goalless at a soggy St James Park.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Leeds

After a very quiet opening 44 minutes the game sprang to life in that last 90 seconds or so.

First Leeds keeper Kiko Casilla showed excellent athleticism to tip a powerful Steven Fletcher shot over the crossbar.

Down the other end Leeds nearly took the lead but Keiren Westwood matched this Leeds counterpart with a wonderful stop to deny Patrick Bamford's header.

Hopefully the second half continues how this one ended!

AGAIN Leeds are wasteful with the ball on the edge of the Wednesday area.

Striker Patrick Bamford elects to pass it inside 20 yards out when he maybe could have gone on and had a shot or passed the ball the other way.

Leeds concede a free-kick just into their own half for a handball by Stuart Dallas.

The free-kick is overhit and the visitors deal with it easily.

Wednesday have gone with the physical presence of Atdhe Nuhiu and Steven Fletcher up front today.

They look to work a decent crossing opportunity but the delivery is straight into the hands of Leeds keeper Kiko Casilla.

The Owls have yet to fashion a chance for their strikers with their best effort coming from full-back Liam Palmer in the opening stages.
